Terraria expert. I've almost beaten the Moon Lord, I just need to plan my strategy a bit more and maybe mod my cursor bigger so I stop losing it against the background.

I wish it was illegal as well but getting that law considered would be all kinds of difficult. The problem is that when you "buy" a game you usually don't actually buy the game, but a license to play the game. Usually an indefinite license but still a license. And unfortunately these licenses allow them to legally do whatever they want when it comes to the product. Probably why so many companies are trying to do away with games on disks is because they can more easily control what happens with the licenses to their products. Including pulling them off the market so even those who've already payed can't play it. The worst part about it is they aren't even legally obligated to do refunds in these situations(in regards to new releases getting pulled.) They could just as easily tell everyone to fuck off and they'd legally be in the right.

I don't know, a lot of the evening and night scenes looked decent to me. I think it was literally just an issue of using the wrong colors. Idunno then. Maybe someone on the dev team just added it one day on a whim and a few of them liked it so it stayed. Not an uncommon occurrence.

They've put in quite a lot. New world generation yet again to put in minecart tracks (minecarts insanely useful for long distance travel) And the Yoyo's are great all the way to late game.(Endgame gear is insane) plenty of new weapons as well. On top of the new additions to items there's the expert mode that I can't shut up about. they've also added a new event called the Martian Madness which i have yet to do. Lastly they've added a new boss, Moon Lord and everything leading up to, including the fight itself, is the coolest shit I've seen in Terraria yet. Even if he wrecked me before I put any kind of noticable change in his life bar. Updates at this point are mostly endgame additions because previously after beating the frostmoon event there really wasn't anything to do. They also nerfed the traps a lot of people use in arenas so you can't idle those anymore(like that was ever fun in the first place.) I still have an arena but more for the purposes of keeping control in the fights. I also just found one of the developer vanity sets. I now look like Yoraiz0r.

You know Ross, every game dungeon you do this thing I really like: You identify and call out companies and designers for cutting corners. I'm willing to bet that the reason NfS uses those tint filters is less out of trying to achieve the mood and more out of because actually doing the proper lighting manually would take them a lot longer. Every game cuts corners in one form or another, some are just more shameless in how they do it. The whole killing games thing can be explained very easily: It's no longer profitable. Sure they could patch it before taking the servers offline but option number 4 (Go fuck yourself) is the fastest, and most money efficient option so that's why they go with it. Do I like this or agree with this? Hell no. This tactic pisses me off just as much as it does you. As for EA coming to get game series' I love, they already have. Command and Conquer. Not even clean about it, just bullet to the back of the head and left it's remains for us to deal with.

I live right next to Los Angeles, California and we're paying 55 a month for basically 6 mbps. :S That's literally the best we can get without having a data cap I couldn't use up in a day. Even then a good download speed in my house is 600 kbps at best. That's absolutely horrible! And data caps? WTF is up with that? Sounds to me like your ISPs are some greedy bastards trying to cram together as many people as possible using their limited resources. Why sell gigabit internet to one guy when you can split that for 200 people and get more money? The worst part about it, at least in the case of America, is that a few ISP's even admitted that they could supply fast internet to the entire country without a data cap and still not have their services flooded with traffic. Corporate greed is a force to be reckoned with.

Expert Terraria. Golems down, tried Fishron, and got absolutely wrecked. So I'm gonna make my old arena again and do the moon events. Also I may or may not have accidentally started the Lunar event and was able to get far enough in it to get 3 insanely good weapons. This should help.

Finally got around to taking this test. "MEDIATOR (INFP-T)" These online tests aren't gonna be the most accurate read but I can confirm a lot of what I'm seeing. Heck, the introversion is at 62% which I really can't disagree with. Not sure how much I agree with the Feeling, especially at 43% because I spend so much time on my own thinking about random junk and considering both sides of the issue and trying to figure where I stand on the matter. I guess Either way this was a fun and insightful little test. Edit: let me try and put a bit of perspective on the whole "dreaming" thing though. I do things like this but my reasons aren't exclusively for escape from reality (though sometimes it is because, man, fuck the world sometimes.) For me, it's how I keep sane. There's a lot that really gets under my skin, and it's very hard for me to function properly when that happens. So I use those "dreams" as a way to calm me down, generally create a short ideal world where I don't have to put up with all the crap, and when I'm sufficiently calmer I come back to reality and face the problem. Though I can imagine some people get stuck there...

A long while ago there was a paranormal thread I posted in with the long version of this story but I'm gonna put the short version up. When I was younger, I lived in a rental house after a wind storm blew a tree onto our house. Now there was a lot of weird stuff happening at this rental house. Sounds of things in the closet falling but looking to find nothing out of place, bathroom door opening on it's own, toilet seat falling down on it's own, etc. I'm sure there's a good reason for all of that though. The weirdest was during a power outage. The house's living room was essentially the walk in area for the front door as well. The front door has an outer metal door that we keep closed. We were all huddled in the living room with camping lamps waiting for the power to come back on when we all heard the sound of what sounded like someone throwing their weight on the wooden front door. The weirdest part about all that is the only way for anyone to hit the front door and make that sound would be from the inside and if it was from the inside we would have seen them. The outer metal door was closed and we heard no footsteps or anything else after that, and no sign of anything to make that sound, but it sounded like someone was trying to kick the door down. So do I believe in ghosts? Yes. Do I believe that all those TV ghost hunter shows are legit? No.

I've thought about re-purposing an old computer as a sort of dedicated server but my internet would be the real issue. It's not fast and goes down often. They've made it easier to connect with steam play now but of course someone still has to own the world. If anyone wants to host it I could pop in from time to time but I'm in like 3 different groups right now so not sure how much willpower I have left to go through yet another new character. XD Also expert Plantera down. Time to farm the hardmode dungeon. I went in for like 5 minutes and got the 3rd best Yoyo in the game and the Paladins Hammer. Now to figure out the best way to deal with the ranged asshole who just shot me for 400 damage in turtle armor. O_o
