  1. We shop at Vons and Trader Joe's so no, not rich. XD We just like to try new things and sometimes discover some nice stuff. The yogurt was Chobani. I just made an Egg Ranchero sandwich and had some celery with it.
  2. Yeah I've had to deal with it a few times before. Luckily it was nothing major. Just a tiny cavity in a hard to reach place with a toothbrush and fixin another chipped filling. Mouth still numb though. Heading back home.
  3. Sitting in the dentist chair waiting for the numbness to set in. Forgot how absolutely weird this sensation is.
  4. Signing up for classes for a programming certificate program. One of these instructors has the best Si-Fi name ever. Zardoost.
  5. I don't remember what it was called but somewhere in my room is a PS1 fighting game I got from a friend. I offered to pay even a dollar for it and he said "honestly I should be paying you a dollar for willing to give this shit a try" It was a fighting game involving DnD characters but that's about where anything possibly cool about this game ends. There was only 4 possible moves you could use (and believe me I tried as many buttons combinations as I could) and while the game had about 14 characters all of them used those exact same moves. Nothing unique about them.
  6. Rocket League. The bots in that game are so bad I do better playing against real people.
  7. It's a webcomic that's been running for quite a while now. Humor is kinda raunchy and adult oriented(in the rated R sense) but I've always found it pretty fun. http://www.leasticoulddo.com/ Just finished playing Rocket League. Fun game but it's actually easier to play against people because the bots are just so bad. Edit: Laying on my bed, taking deep slow breaths, and enjoying an activity a lot of people take for granted: being able to breath. Haven't had an asthma attack this bad in a while so I think I'm gonna continue to lay here and just enjoy having full lung function back again.
  8. Reading Least I Could Do. haven't been on there in several years now.
  9. I honestly don't know but I keep reading it in Andrew Ryan's voice so... Bioshock? "Okay, okay. So you put a Nazi on the Moon. Fuck you, Moon." I like to make sure my quotes have some kinda hint towards the series.
  10. I've known a few who could if they tried...
  11. Well if you think about it it's the case of anything: who do you want to target and who do you want to inevitably piss off. You could put in weapons that are virtually worthless and appease the realism crowd but then you would inevitable piss off the crowd of people who tried to use the weapon, failed, and got killed because of it. Horror games are the trickiest of mediums because everyone has their own interpretation of what would make a great horror game. This should probably have it's own topic since the topic runs far beyond these 2 games.
  12. I honestly don't feel these types of games would benefit from a weapon, even though the video did kinda hint at possible weapons with the knife. Sure it would be the 'realistic' way to go about it but that's never been my concern when it comes to games. In horror games, weapons always strike me as the "comfort zone" item; something for the player to hide behind when faced with a problem. I much prefer the feeling of helplessness when it comes to these since it otherwise loses a lot of it's effect. To each their own I guess. Edit: also I'm not sure how effective a weapon is gonna be against something that makes the walls bleed.
  13. There's also a game in development called Allison Road which is already regarded as the spiritual successor to PT. __i_LoRKhJ0 And outside of that Del Toro and Kojima announced they're going to be working on their own project together so there's that to look forward to. http://moviepilot.com/posts/2015/07/29/del-toro-reveals-his-collaboration-with-kojima-is-far-from-over-3418742
  14. Rocket League is a beautiful game. Such a simple idea too. "Let's take soccer, make it played with cars, and makes those cars do flips and shit!" Last game was Terraria. Finally finished the cellphone which needs like 10 items to build, three of which are gotten from once a day fishing quests which have a 1/70 chance to be the reward. Never doing that again. Forget playing legit, all new characters I make are having that cellphone sent to them. That took DAYS. Real days, not ingame days.
  15. Coding is weird to get into because it's hard to motivate yourself when you don't know enough to really do much with it but at the same time you can't learn unless you actually do stuff. I wish I could help give advice on how to pick all that up again but I doubt my method of raw ADHD fueled persistence in what I find interesting is gonna work for very many people. The closest I could suggest is grab Unity since it's free and dive into it's massive world of documentation and tutorials. And if that maze tutorial taught me anything it taught me how to organize project-wide data and function calls which I was so grateful for that I went and subscribed to the guys Patreon. XD I learn so much from this guy even if he's a wizard of the programming world. Least I could do is send him 5 courtesy dollars every time he makes a new tutorial.
  16. Who said men can't rock eyeliner/shadow?
  17. I would bring up some of their music right now as well but I really wanted to listen to VNV Nation so... HVLzSrpIsFU
  18. "And I'm not the only one who thinks we're trying to say To the heavens and all who hear us: Behold all we have made! We bring destruction, we bring war without an end And then we live in hope that tomorrow never comes That it never comes... We conquer paradise just to burn it to the ground And we build a future to honour pasts we've left behind We bring destruction, we bring war without an end And then we hope that tomorrow never comes That it never comes..." Testament - VNV Nation
  19. About to go to sleep. There's a post I wanna make in the vent thread about something in my past and it FEELS like a good idea but at the same time I've gotten 3 hours of sleep in 3 days and at this point I'm honestly unable to tell very many good ideas from bad ones so I'm gonna sleep on it and see in the morning.
  20. Man, coding is weird and the tutorials are no exception. I'm looking up this tutorial on generating a random maze that fits into a 20x20 grid, has no inaccessible areas, and all the paths are 1 grid unit wide. I'm following along relatively well, as well as reading it without following along in my own project allows but this tutorial just did some voodoo magic or something. I'm following along and there's progressive screenshots to show the errors o a functioning but incomplete code and then he adds like 2 or 3 functions totaling about 15 lines of code and then boom, maze complete. What. I'm gonna have to follow along with this in an actual project because I have no idea how what he added turned a randomly generated mess with broken walls and gaping empty sections into this perfect beautiful maze.
  21. Vent thread does not mean you have free reign to insult other users over what they vent about. This seems to be a recurring trend every several pages and it needs to stop. This thread was made to let users get off their chest what's bothering them, and antagonizing them over what that happens to be not only does nothing to help, but is also against forum rules. "1. Try not to be a jerk." C'mon guys, we're better than this. :/
  22. Antman. 8/10 Never thought there'd ever be an Antman movie, let alone one that was well made and fun to watch. Only thing preventing me from giving it a perfect score is there was just a few too many scientific continuity errors for my liking. Other than that the humor was good, the fight sequences were good and in the overall it was just plain fun. I also really like the suits design.
  23. One time when helping my parents with yard work one summer, I was using a hack saw to cut up some branches we'd cut off of one of the low trees. Having never really used one before and not aware of how sharp those things are, even after years of use had dulled it, I didn't put enough pressure on the saw and it caught and bounced out of the notch I had cut. Luck has it it bounced and went right across the surface of my arm. It wasn't a deep cut but it spanned about a foot in length, looked nasty, and hurt to high hell. Never underestimated a saw of any sorts again.
  24. Nyoom! There goes my character, off into the distance! Leaving the camera behind!
  25. Working in Unity. Trying to set up a player controller script and finding out just how out of practice I am at this. Erf.
