This again. This game's really cool.

Sometimes I run into a problem with Unity coding that searching for the answer makes me feel like an idiot. Why? Not because the solution was simple or I just overlooked something. No, it makes me feel like an idiot because there's literally nothing on what I'm trying to figure out which really makes me feel like the only person who can't figure it out. EXAMPLE TIME. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to rebind a games control scheme ingame, which like everything else, is handled in scripts. Now, I know about the input tab in the editor which allows me to assign keys to axis names which you can then call in a script (W and S would be bound to "Vertical" and called by Input.GetAxis("Vertical") and so on.) which is all well and good if I just only want to check if the key is pressed. There's also "Input.GetKey(Keycode.W)" or whatever but that's even less helpful because that's the direct input key instead of the actual binding. But no. Everything I search people are all "Just use the input tab in unity" Like no that's not gonna help because the unity editor isn't going to be accessible in a finished game. I want the player to be able to change their keys while the game is running via a submenu accessible from the game menu. "Oh well the player can just set the keys in the launcher like all unity games" okay, fine, how the fuck does that help anyone who's ALREADY LAUNCHED THE GAME?! This doesn't answer anyone's question why do so many people say that? No one is gonna be happy at all if they have to restart the game every time they want to rebind their keys! I found one tutorial video. ONE tutorial video. And the video only showed it in action. If I want to see the script? Gotta pay. It's only like 2 dollars but wtf, why is their only one person ever to have documented the existence of this phenomenon and why's it gotta be the one to lure you in with false promises and then ask for money? Am I like missing something blatantly obvious? Edit: Finally found something and no wonder there's nothing on it. The only method I could find is convoluted as hell.

I've had about 3 companies say I'm perfect for the position but all of them were companies over an hour away with no affordable housing options for someone with currently no money. I even almost got a remote contracted intro job at 24/h but the project got canceled in the planning phase. Other than that there's surprisingly very little job opportunities for an intro game programmer in the Greater Los Angeles and surrounding area.

Black Ops 3 before it ended. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd encounter something as hilarious as someone hacking a beta. Now I'm not quick to say something like that but those kill cams told a different story. No one tracks your head perfectly through everything.

Preparing for tomorrow. Also watching the most recent Goodzilla For being a movie about a monster originating in japan, they sure lack japanese actors. And the main one spends the whole movie looking absolutely blown away by everything monster related, even though he's the one who studied them the longest.

I do. I refuse to leave the house if I haven't taken a shower at least that day or the day before. Especially if I can smell myself or I'd been sweating enough to make my skin feel gross. If I even get the slightest whiff of body odor when I'm out of the house I'm super self conscious the rest of the day and keep a respectable distance from people.

Black Ops 3 Beta I don't like the harsh sensitivity drop when aiming down the sights but the game is pretty damn fun.

Just about every game has content that is for all intents and purposes complete but never actually used in the game for one reason or another. From the sounds of it these were never items you could get even when it was launched meaning there's probably other reasons for them removing them. EA is a wreathing pot of dirty business practices but even that sounds a bit far even for them.

Attempting to download the BO3 beta and see if I can actually finish the download before it ends.

Terraria ranged only Expert. Skeletron is up next. Tried him once and almost won but he hit too hard.

Stalker is a game I've heard about, but know next to nothing about. But when I learned about Chernobyl, and realised the game was based around it, it makes me very tempted to try it out. It's an older game so a lot of the mechanics are outdated but it's still close to my heart and amongst my favorite games. If you get Shadow of Chernobyl be sure to grab the Stalker Complete mod(2009) since it fixes a lot of the major bugs, improves the AI, and balances things out. OT: Agario. I've come to the conclusion that FFA has better teams than Teams mode because everyone it Teams will fuck each other over to get at fractions of mass before anyone else. Not to mention Teams is full of bottom feeders.

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl Just found a modified Enfield assault rifle with almost no recoil. This will carry me far.

Finishing up yet another failed study session into how on earth Unity managed to create overridden functions (void Start(), void Update(), etc...) without actually OVERRIDING ANYTHING. I don't get it and I must have gone through hundreds of pages on inheritance, virtual/override, interfacing, reflection, event systems, and many other things and I'm not the tiniest bit closer to figuring it out.
