In IRC /whois is a command that gives basic information on any member in the current channel based on the username provided. All it really does is show when they signed on and how long they've been idle but not much more.

Whenever I see those I often wonder how many of them are actually young teens with misguided notions and how many are undercover police baiting potential predators. I mostly say this because my two 13 year old cousins and my 14 year old cousin all don't even act remotely like that. Though that's not a very big demographic to go off of heh. Also I'm sure the mere concept of using "virginity" as an insult has done nothing but fuel the mad dash to lose it as quick as possible.

So I have an opportunity for a temp job I'm considering doing, since money is money. One of the counselors from my old college has some positions available to work at the Blizzcon store. 12/h with two 8 hour days and two 8 1/2 hour days. I mean, it's technically a retail position which is in no way a fair use of my degree but it's also Blizzcon and from what I understand when your shift is over you're free to roam around the convention center and there's no way I'd be able to afford going to Blizzcon otherwise. XD It's also money and I need that.

There are a lot of local positions (between 15 - 50 minutes away) so moving isn't entirely necessary, I just seem to have the luck that any positions that are almost handed to me have the one drawback of being too far away. That and I don't entirely have the funds to get up and move right now.

So I got offered an interview as game designer after a friend referred me but it turns out it's 2 1/2 hours away from where I live and I have no convenient way of getting out there. The search continues.

Normally I love Thanksgiving and Christmas but this year I'm not too excited. This may sound cold but those 2 holidays involve extended family for me and I don't want to see them right now. Currently my extended family is an absolute wreck and I'm not sure I can handle seeing that first hand.

Watching a stream on youtube. Not sure I like their format but what can you do when the streamer is there?

Drinking tea to help wake me up fully. For some reason this past week I've been waking up at 5:30 on the dot every day without any alarm clock and regardless of whether or not I got much sleep.

I got curious and am browsing the Audiosurf negative reviews had on steam. While I have no problem with people not enjoying a game, one recurring theme did slightly bother me "it's just a stupid high score chaser" It's an arcade game. Of COURSE it's a high score chaser. I will hand them the "it doesn't sync well with most songs" argument though. I love Audiosurf but it'd be so much better if the blocks you had to grab were tied into the song better, instead of just your movement speed following the tempo.

The best part about that too was I noticed right after I woke up so there was a period of time where I was just staring at my own post squinting in confusion wondering when I said any of that. I think I'll pass on that though. XD

I feel great today. Refund check for college classes (PCC offers the classes for free if you don't work.) arrived in the mail so that $138 back. Got a new phone too, since my old one was starting to die and I was due for an upgrade on my plan. On top of that got an iPad for 100 less bundled with the phone and I've been needing one for a digital portfolio.
