  1. I wanna read the Jojo manga but I can't decide if I should read it from the start or just pick up where the show left off. The start would probably be better but idk how my adhd would handle potential repeats right now, especially with already knowing the outcome.
  2. Persona 5. I'm not really sure what to say about this game. It's fun, but... um... it's fun. Story is fascinating and I've never hated a villain quite as much as I hate the one from this game and I can't wait to see that fucker fall so there's that.
  3. Persona 5 Or, UI Porn: The Video Game
  4. I'd actually prefer to keep my real name separate from my online name. Crazy person from my past I don't ever want finding me online again. :S I'm also on facebook even less than anywhere else.
  5. So, like, I actually need this. My life depends on it:
  6. Leave it to a programmer to develop something that's simultaneously dumber and smarter than them.
  7. So I recently got Rainbow 6 Siege and apparently their automatic anticheat system hates new players with a bias towards any that can actually play the game. In the middle of my 6 or 7th game ever, I got randomly kicked with a 5 minute suspension for cheating which I can't for the life of me understand because I did on average alright with a few good and bad moments here and there. The only thing I could find was that it was: a) FairFight detecting an unusually good performance compared to my average play which would be absolutely stupid for both the amount of time I've played before it happened AND because that is flawed in design to begin with, or b) I got reported a lot by people in a short period of time and got an automated time-out because of it which is also stupid. Point is I got punished for doing well before I was apparently allowed to and that's really frustrating. <_< Honestly the only reason I even know what little I'm doing is because one of the youtubers I'm subscribed to(Cartoonz) plays this game all the time and I enjoy those videos. I basically learned how all the operators work, the tricks people try to pull, and a rough layout of all the maps just by watching him so obviously I'm gonna know a little more than the average noobie. No need to fucking suspend my account over that. Even if it's just 5 minutes it's the principle behind the idea. Who's to say it won't happen again? What's the cutoff level before I'm allowed to get a double or triple kill without fear of a more severe punishment? <_< I do however take an odd amount of pride in getting called a Smurf in my literal first game. I know they were trying to insult me with that but it kinda turns into a backwards compliment when that person isn't actually a smurf. They were probably one of the ones who reported me if b) is what happened tho.
  8. Rainbow 6 Siege. Games fun but I wonder about their anticheat system. Vent thread entry incoming.
  9. A generalization is taking a single set of characteristics and applying it to the whole. To say that "not all x are y" isn't a generalization since it's accepting that each of the individuals stand on their own. It's pretty much considered as the factual default. With the amount of people that make up a community, it'd be cult-level suspicious if the same set of characteristics factually applied to every member. Edit: Tangent: Anyone else getting a weird issue where if you try to scroll too quickly while the page is loading the scroll stops working? Only seems to happen to me on this website and it's happened on 3 different computers now.
  10. Okay fine blame was the wrong word. It's a little hard to make a coherent point with the correct words when you're trying to mashing out a paragraph on your phone while walking to class. The whole point I'm trying to make is that what it seems you're doing is throwing a blanket over the whole community, writing your own ideas about what they do and think, and then applying that assumption to everyone who happens to hold any association with LGBT. It's basically the hasty generalization fallacy and it hurts you just as much as it hurts those thrown under that blanket.
  11. The thing is I don't need convincing of anything since I know the LGBT community is flawed. I often rant to my friends all the time about the shit that goes in with it and we're all apart of it. What I'm trying to get at however is pushing the blame onto them when an individual and the legal system or part of it is more responsible for this than lgbt is is not the right way to go about this. Like I said this isn't 1's and 0's. Multiple things are at play here and the world would be better off recognizing that than just lumping it all onto one entity. The idea of preferential treatment over sexuality causes problems in the legal system but to throw legality itself to the wind is another issue altogether.
  12. Except I'm not okay with that association which precisely why I'm being critical of them.
  13. in lgtb because I'm bisexual. That hasn't stopped me from being critical of the movement and their shortcomings. Holding everyone accountable for the actions of the few is stupid because your forcing the blame onto those who aren't guilty of anything. I could just as easily say that you are responsible for all hate based crimes against lgtb people because you're being critical but I'm not because despite being a programmer I don't view he world in 1's and 0's. That's like sayin all gamers are sexist basement dwellers because you saw a few of them online. I'm guessing I don't need to go into how wrong that is here of all places.
  14. As tragic as that is I hardly see how that's reflective of the LGBT community in any way. That's just a stupid individual resorting to scum of the earth tactics because they can't handle rejection. This kind of thing happens between straight people as well and to put this on the LGBT community is pretty unfair to those apart of it who've never have and would never even consider such a thing (People such as me.)
  15. The only programming joke I know is my code.
  16. I like to stick with computers because even at their most confusing they still make more sense than people.
  17. Idiots in Path of Exile be like: Them: "Hi, I'd like to buy your 5 divine orbs for my 50 chaos" Me: "I only have 1 divine orb." Them: "All 5 please." Me: "I can't. I literally only have one. The listing says I own a total of one." Them: "Omg 5 you fucking idiot how many times I gotta say it." Well he's on the blocklist now. Heard it smells overwhelmingly of feet there.
  18. They're generally a good thing to have around since they eat mosquito larva(hence the alternative name, Mosquito Hawk), but there's just so many of them right now that you can't take three steps without 7 or 8 wizzing past you and/or crashing face first into your legs. They're quite honestly one of the dumbest bugs I've ever seen. They seem to have absolutely no survival instinct so it's amazing on it's own that their population is booming. It's become such an annoyance lately.
  19. Well I guess I have to yell at people to close my room door when they leave because asking nicely doesn't work. Now as it stands there are 4 or 5 crane flies in my room because they apparently practice the same idea with all the doors to the outside where we're currently having an unusually high swarming of crane flies. Sure they're harmless, but they're also big, and their stupidity and obnoxiousness scales with their size. You ever try to sleep in a room with crane flies in it? trick question you don't. Every time you're about to doze off one of them get's half lodged in your nostril or tries to fly into your mouth but they're big enough and stupid enough that that not only does not kill them but they also keep trying to do it again. God damn it I already have enough trouble sleeping when left to my own devices, I don't need some idiot bug trying make love to my nose hairs, let alone fucking 5 of them. Guess I'm sleeping with the covers pulled over my head tonight. I swear to god though if I wake up and any of those winged dumbasses got tangled in my hair and died I'm gonna flip several different varieties of shit.
  20. Things I would like to do if I wasn't an introvert #77: Intentionally respond incorrectly with "Thanks, you too!"
  21. Path of exile. Tried out the Hall of Grandmasters, a pve challenge with pvp stat scaling. Every encounter there is 5 unique enemies designed from characters of players who purchased the Grandmaster supporter pack. I was only able to complete 1 of the 4 halls before I ran out of portals. In the middle of the second hall I found someone using a cyclone build except with energy shield and what I'm assuming was lifesteal converted to energy shield because I couldn't hurt him. Literally at all. His energy shield didn't move at all so I was forced into a slow, frustrating death.
  22. Incidentally I said that earlier in regards to an application I'm working on and somehow managed to break everything. O_o Never been more glad that I take the time to version out. Coulda been very bad. OT: Debating between 2 games to play. Have to decide if I want to go with the one that I can't zone out in, or the one that I can.
  23. nVhNCTH8pDs I think this is my favorite song by Pink Floyd by far. Everything about it from the lyrics to that guitar is just perfect.
  24. Drying my hair. Must look not-crazy for imminent social contact.
