  1. Trying to figure out how to make my bed without moving my head. I've got a sudden onset of vertigo because of my defective inner ears(this happens a lot) but I only feel dizzy when moving my head. I just want to sleep it off but yeah, no sheets on the bed yet.
  2. I want to buy an airhorn so the next time I have to repeat a question 4 times while my parents seem to ignore I'm even speaking I can bust out the horn and scare the stupid fucking answer out of them. I literally asked "what temperature does the pork need to be for fully cooked?" 4 times before I had to shout "DING DING DING EARTH TO MOM AND DAD CALLING ALL BRAIN CELLS" just to get them to acknowledge I even asked a question. And they STILL didn't answer. All they said was "You don't need to shout." Yes. Yes I fucking do. Now answer the question for fucks sake, it's right on the thermometer that I can't see with you two crowding around it. It's 170 F internally btw. Had to wait for them to go away to check myself. Seriously...
  3. Not sure about the color but I do know blue light does things to the mind. http://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/blue-light-has-a-dark-side "Blue wavelengths—which are beneficial during daylight hours because they boost attention, reaction times, and mood—seem to be the most disruptive at night." OT: Reading that article now. Brain, why u weird.
  4. it started off so normal too. I'm not even subscribed to the other 2 guys.
  5. It's a simple reactionary post to something said earlier. What you're trying to do with the one above is cite an argument (argument being the true definition as a clash of differentiating view points, not the fighting kind everyone considers it now) which is better left to the debate section since the scale is getting too large. And if you want some delicious hypocrisy look up the flat earth society and how they conduct themselves. Especially the parts about requiring evidence, questioning what we see, and being brainwashed. OT: drinking hot tea. It's really helping with the coughing.
  6. Not a debate thread, take it to the proper section please. OT: trying to watch youtube videos but finding it very hard to listen to over my coughing fits. Fucking asthma ignoring the meds.
  7. Maybe, but that post was more in style of the pain thread (which he already made a post about. ).
  8. Not the point of things this thread is about. O_o
  9. I would start with 1 then go to 3. 2 Is STILL in debate whether or not it's actually in the same universe as the first and subsequently third. Though the first is truly the hardest of the three imo. If you want some general tips, start with the master ring and there's no shame in running from/past enemies. I experienced the game with a halberd build twice but both the weapons I used aren't guaranteed to appear so that's a gamble build. Whatever weapon you do choose, try out all it's attack combo's BEFORE you get into a fight. And lastly, patience. do NOT mash attack buttons. That's the fastest way to the loading screen. As for lore, item descriptions. The entire world is built upon fragments of the item descriptions. And even some clues to secret and hidden areas and where to look for them. My perception of this game is like a coach that is super tough on you. You're gonna get mad at it for a lot of what it puts you through but when you cool down and come back to it you will be better and get a whole new experience.
  10. I yawned with my head at a funny angle and pulled a muscle in my neck. It feels like I tried to swallow a bundle of caltrops.
  11. Reading before going to bed. Never did get that nap, just an ill timed internet crash. <_
  12. tb2FPrh2K0U Ah... Love this song...
  13. Unfortunately all my Dark Souls copies are on PC. Helps prevent people from rage messaging when I invade their worlds and be the biggest dick I can.
  14. If you really want to experiment with coping mechanisms then I STRONGLY recommend the first one. Tomb of the Giants will have you screaming in tongues at 2 AM for sure. That game had me inventing profanity to satiate my rage. Still love it though. Help.
  15. Thinking about taking a nap. Though knowing me, that nap will be 12+ hours long.
  16. Dark souls 3 borrows and references the first game MUCH more than the second. If you really wanted to experience those references then I'd at least suggest playing the first one. Though that game's gonna kick your ass if you try to play it like Bloodborne. All in all, you can still play the third without any prior knowledge, but I do recommend the first one as well.
  17. How to discuss The Division from a critical standpoint. 1. Don't. 2. Seriously, don't. Never in my life have I seen a game manage to fudge the line between good and bad storytelling so much that both sides of the argument are broken when compared to the other. It's like they managed to make the design equivalent of this image and that FASCINATES me. Edit: Ninja'd! Not much out of the ordinary. Been doing to Dark Souls 3 what I did to Bloodborne last year lol. Sans the consistent success of bosses. Some of these boss battles...
  18. Dark Souls 3 Games finally become hard. Probably wouldn't be that bad if the camera wasn't the worst in the series. Damn thing will delock on someone literally right in front of me, let alone that giant ass dragon that's flying around, removing your lock on every time it so much as moves.
  19. As a designer myself constantly having to hear about games being pirated is frustrating. Especially since most of the reasons aren't even good ones. OT: Playing Dark Souls 3.
  20. How I feel about these is based solely on the game that would fall in this category(actually that's kinda how I feel about all games, so, moot point I guess). If I feel like they're using pure visuals to make up for a lack of content, I'm probably not gonna like it. Plenty of games out there have amazing visuals as well as actual gameplay so if I wanted I could just fire up, say, Witcher 3 and just walk around for a while instead of quest chasing or whatever. I like Dear Esther because while it really is just walking around, you're basically playing a poem. Not really much of gameplay in any way but the narrative always gives me chills. Games like The vanishing of Ethan Carter I'm hesitant to classify as this because there is some gameplay and substance but at the same time the game has a lot of walking and is relying rather heavily on visuals. Though I would say it's selling point is more the story than anything and for that I like it. I should also clarify that while I enjoy these 2 games, I've completed neither. I like them for what they are and do but in the end my ADHD wins out.
  21. I also advise against googling "Log in toilet" for obvious reasons.
  22. While I advise against this tone of presentation, the message is correct. The point of this thread is to help people "get off their chest" something that's festering in them so they can move past it, NOT to attack their feelings in any way(No matter how otherworldly bothered by the message you may be). Attacking their feelings only reinforces whatever they're venting about, making it worse, and makes you a bit of an asshole for doing so. If you want to explain why something they don't understand(as in, they say they don't understand and would like to) may be the way it is NON-CONFRONTATIONALLY, then that's fine. Seriously, this isn't a debate thread.
  23. Trust me, we suck sometimes. *evil eyes the mod log.*
  24. Dark Souls 3 PvP is surprisingly better when using the Red Soap Stone to get called as an invader, because the people who even use those 9/10 times aren't absolute dicks. It's especially fun when you get that one guy who just summons every sign he can find and basically hosts an impromptu fight club between invaders. XD
