eeuVS6vnN7w I liked the guitar riff sample so I looked up the original song it came from and it's not bad.

This section could use a little bit of love and I recently stumbled across some old discs for a computer game I've completely forgotten existed. Unfortunately the discs are damaged and considering it's age I'm not sure they'd run anyways without emulation or the likes. Anyways, if my memory serves me correctly, it's a point and click style adventure/puzzle game where you play as a delirious old grandmother. I was far too young back when I played it to realize that games actually had objectives (I was like 6) so I never got very far but I seem to recall something about an evil rabbit kidnapping your family or something. The game was overall crazy and full of Monty Python-esque humor. VKqvxbOZX9k I kinda wish I could actually go back to this now that I'm older. May look for it on GoG or something.

The Official Half Life Theory / Discussion Thread
Blightmare replied to Blightmare's topic in Valve Games / Valve Stuff
The way I feel is that Earth isn't so much a threat as it is a nuisance. Not only did the war last only 7 hours, but it only ended because we "surrendered" meaning we were close to annihilation anyways. On top of that, the line by Eli, "It'd be the Seven Hours War all over again. Except this time we won't last seven minutes." not only tells me that they have to resources and firepower to wipe us out at any moment, but that we already know they could. the only reason they haven't up until the events of the episodes is because we've kept in line and never done anything to warrant action beyond local forces. And as made evident by Episode 1, our only real advantage is that they can't bring everything they have here without resorting to extreme measures. As for the Vortigaunts, they aren't Earth native and while they do pose more of a threat than humans do (that lightning is nasty) I'd figure if they became a problem themselves that Earth wouldn't be where they struck them first. My thoughts on whether earth itself is a threat. I haven't put as much time into these thoughts as others, I'm just using what the game has given me. -
Those ships aren't actually blowing up when you point your fingers like that, BGT, you're just being paranoid.

InFAMOUS.

This is my favorite one yet. OT: "Does this song even end? Oh well."

Repetitive. (you've used that for me like 2 or 3 times. )

Down Loadable Chapters. GASP. Genius! It was self defense, man! They had signs! ... And pamphlets.
-
Still Infamous. I'm starting my evil character and I'm gonna play on hardest difficulty. May be the first game I bothered to get a platinum trophy on since aside from the hardest difficulty trophy all the others I haven't got are just clearance requirements.

I think I'll write a story, upload all the chapters at once, and every month remove a chapter. I'd call it "Downdating"

The reason behind the original unboxing videos was to show everyone exactly what you get in shipping. That way if the site you ordered from is sending video cards in a blister envelope without anything else, you know about it before buying from them. I guess. It's just a lot of the ones I stumbled across are silly things like games or consoles. I know what comes in them already so why do an unboxing other than to brag to their subscribers?
-
Just knowing they made a server with that name makes me happy. Infamous: Second Son. Just beat the game on good.

Seriously guys, quit it. We've somehow managed to get off topic by talking about being off topic and no one is being nice about any of it. All signs point to letting it go.
-
Well I'd still look into a new one for when it does go. Not like buy one yet but have an idea which one you'd need so you can just order it when it goes out or is about to. You know, there's been a trend going on on Youtube lately that I don't understand: Unboxing videos. These have been pretty popular for about a year now and I don't understand the hype behind watching someone else take stuff out of a box they bought.I see em and I just get bored. Like, cool, you got an Xbone. How does this affect me? Idunno. I guess I just don't understand the appeal of watching other people buy stuff.

Kids talking on Killzone: Shadow Fall because they don't know how to not use a mic when they have friends over. >.< As for music, I'm about to fire up a Blockhead album

Since it seems that the Freeman's Mind episode threads keep getting taken over by discussions about the Half Life universe, I feel this thread is very much needed. This thread is for any and all discussions about Half Life from theories to what you feel is canonc, etc. Try to keep it civil. ^_^ The last discussion I saw involved a mysterious Third Power being allied to neither the Combine or the Gman and his employers, the motives behind the Gman, and whether or not the Combine view Earth as a threat. Seems like a good enough place to start if any.

Yeah, I've noticed these threads seem to have a habit of becoming a massive argument over what is "canon" and what isn't. If you ask me, they really should take that elsewhere because this is supposed to be about the final episode of Freeman's Mind, damnnit! This thread shouldn't have pointless arguing, it should be about how Ross did an awesome job with the series (and of course, this episode). We already have over 13 fucking pages of people sucking Ross' dick and reminiscing on the past 7 years. It's about time we have an actual discussion and not just a big fuck-off circlejerk. Then make a thread about the discussion in the Valve Games / Valve Stuff section. It's there for a reason and there's also a pinned topic about this very problem in the Free-For-All section because this very thing was a problem a few years ago. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2018 It doesn't matter what's been going on for 13 pages. That's not an excuse to start a debate that has nothing to do with the topic itself. Edit: Here I made one for you guys. Have at it. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=7646

Congratulations. I hope it's nothing serious. Those tend to have the worst time when they finally break down. I had one fail right before my finals and give me a week of stress trying to manage.
