I've noticed you added a thing about needing a pixel-art artist. The only one I can think of right now is Michafrar. For those who don't know, he does the title cards and stuff for JonTron. So I guess you could try talking to him about if he's available to do titles for the Game Dungeon.

First of all, I haven't forgotten about this old picture. Right, now that that's out of the way, onto the video. While I can't really help with the technical questions, I'm glad to know about the stuff you've got planned. I'm also kind of curious about who this 2D animator you mentioned is. If it's that guy who did those Civil Protection animations then I hope he has improved a lot since then. (I haven't seen anything by him since then so I have no idea)

After checking, I can say there is an advert. It's at the bottom of the sidebar. They're not particularly noticeable, so I understand if you missed it.

Clearly, Battletoads. What are you on about? Ross was obviously playing Galerians!

I think I've done that on bank heist stealth with a friend a few times. Mind you, he just prefers to stealth heists when he can. (though that changed when they added the skill profile system) It seems they're not just going to add a new heist but they're adding another crew member. And yes, the community are complaining already.

Considering how most bad games I've played I've never been able to beat (I'm not the best games), the only bad game I can say I've beat is Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. I just loved how having an SD TV made the CGI cutscenes stutter. And Silver? Yeah, definitely what the franchise was missing, physics puzzles with a broken physics engine. On the bright side, your reward for beating the game is that the game never happened.

A Payday 2 thread, huh? Yeah, I play that. I guess I'd play more often if I wasn't so uncomfortable about public servers. Are you more of a stealth person or do you prefer loud missions?

I'm sorry I snapped at you. I posted that reply pretty much immediately after I wrote it while I was still very heated. And honestly, it was a really stupid thing to get so heated over in the first place. I'm really sorry. I'd still like this thread to be discussion on the actual episode itself, whether you loved it or hated it. A thread where everyone agrees on how wonderful and special the episode is would a pretty boring thread in my opinion. But hey, say whatever you want to say. I'm not in charge. Since you apologised, I'll forgive you... for now. I guess I worded the post a little badly since I was ill at the time and not thinking properly. But yeah, opinions of all kinds on the episode should be welcome.

Sorry about that, that rude reply caught me off guard. I really shouldn't make myself part of the problem. Now for something on topic. I wonder when we're going to get that follow up video that explains what Ross is going to do now he is free from Freeman's Mind.
-
Yeah, I've noticed these threads seem to have a habit of becoming a massive argument over what is "canon" and what isn't. If you ask me, they really should take that elsewhere because this is supposed to be about the final episode of Freeman's Mind, damnnit! This thread shouldn't have pointless arguing, it should be about how Ross did an awesome job with the series (and of course, this episode). We already have over 13 fucking pages of people sucking Ross' dick and reminiscing on the past 7 years. It's about time we have an actual discussion and not just a big fuck-off circlejerk. And this kind of crap right here is why I find it so hard to join a bloody community. Say one thing that someone doesn't agree with and they snap at you. Seriously, this was just uncalled for.

If Ross *does* do Half Life 2 (and the expansions) that may or may not conflict with "Freeman's Mind 2: Episode 1: Episode 1." Maybe Episode 1 and 2 could just be Freeman's Mind 3?
-
shame Gordon Frohmans dead RIP IN PEACE GORDON FROHMAN! I guess there's always the fan made sequel. That will totally update again, right?
-
To think, when I started watching this series, Concerned (Half-Life 2 comic) was still updating.
-
Who knows, maybe during the break Ross will finally have an easier way to make Civil Protection without sacrificing quality. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out he already found one and I missed this.

Freeman's Bad Everything Day?
-
I think I remember taking that underground route once ever (possibly on my first playthrough). Somehow I just forgot about it and thought I had to use those things to fling myself up onto one of the platforms.
-
If?IF?! There is no f-ing if about it. To be fair, I did put the enthesis on might, not if. While it's pretty damn obvious there's still plenty of interest in Freeman's Mind, as a guy who doesn't know Ross personally, I can't say I know if he'll want to continue. Mind you, if he does, there will very likely be a break before he starts Half-Life 2.
-
I guess for now, all we've got is this from the FAQ. I also remember him saying in a few other places that he might do Half-Life 2 if the interest is still there.
-
While 60fps didn't make me feel ill at all like quite a few others here, in fact I didn't mind it at all. That being said though, with the rest of the series in 30fps and it being so close to the end, it would seem a bit off suddenly switching. I don't know, maybe you could try 60fps if you continue into Half-Life 2?
-
I guess you can add Payday 2 to the list of things with at least a zombie in it thanks to the Halloween update. Although
-
Have you tried sticking your videos through HandBrake before editing? I don't really know anything about the technical side of this, so sorry if this is a stupid suggestion.
-
In Half-Life 2 they also say the teleporter they have is string based. I wonder what Freeman will have to say about that.
-
To be fair, there are already quite a few Chell's Minds. Also, I'm pretty sure the one you're thinking of is pretty much never going to continue anyway.

Fantastic review Ross! Also, I've noticed how it seems to be a real pain to get games to work when they're old, but not quite old enough for DOSBox. It seems like anything after that point people are just "you're on your own, pal" and you have to hope gog.com gets it or something. I guess the only turn based RPG I actually play properly is Pokémon. Though I have tried others like Fallout (1&2), Blades of Exile and Geneforge, I never seem to make it too far without going "screw it, I'll use cheats".
