It's going to be the latter of those choices... The Mayans either realized they didn't need to keep lengthening their calendar, or they just figured they wouldn't need it by the end of 2012. Or they had a sense of humor, and knew some idiots would think the end meant the end of the world...

I forgot one of my all time favorites, used to make some truly seriously awesome mods for it... Tribes 2. Loved the way they had the game code set up, as well as the various unit/class/vehicle/etc config files. Made a balanced mod that added a guy with a massive shield and a tank cannon, a light guy with infinite cloak, a super turret-layer dude, a guy that moved really fast specializing in flag captures, and a guy who had infinite jetpack and energy.

Why -rep? I gave you +rep... No clue why, but I did. So there! Ha!

Try KOS, it's a free online FPS. Or if you're going to pay for something, get Battlefield: Bad Company 2. (there are fewer cheaters in it than most other multiplayer FPS's, including TF2)

And that's your opinion, and I never said you were a noob, just that polls on opinions are always going to be completely inaccurate when you expect the people voting to know anything about what the topic is about.

I just remembered, some of my favorite instrumental only metal/techno-metal was in Tribes 2. (by Timothy Steven Clarke) Favorite track is either Bioderm, or Lush. Sounds almost exactly like Rammstein in some tracks, and like Darude in others. Another soundtrack, though not as many of the individual tracks were good, was the music from Star Trek: New Worlds.

And Raicuparta wins it with a -8 rep, just barely beating MepsiPax187's -7.

I guess most people just like it because it is well, newer. It's all about the people who don't really know better. Just look at the professional reviews of MW2 compared to the reviews from everyone else... The pros all rated it as barely making the mediocre level, and everyone else made it look like the best game ever released. It's all in how many noobs vote.

Dream on Of course I can't do those. If I could, I'd have my own vid on there... However, if you take out the scenes where there is nothing to do, load times, and the few cutscenes, I can do it with a total of 45-50 min playtime.

New Vegas is the fourth game in the series, and is therefor "Fallout 4". Also, I've only noted a few small bugs in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, but they are usually easilly fixable with Bethesda's editor. (free download from their site, "GECK" for the Fallout games)
