The "game" for workaholics. -
Well, the wait is partially over. I now have a Ryzen 7 5800X ordered. Now I just have to WAIT for them to get one in stock, then WAIT for them to ship it, then WAIT for it to arrive, then WAIT for the RX 6800XT to launch, then WAIT for it to be in stock, then WAIT for it to ship, then WAIT for it to arrive.
-
Wait.

I will bet you a day's ration that you won't really care about this in 1 hour's time.

How so? On topic: The Psychotic One.

DC becoming a state would be bad all on its own, no matter what party you are.

Waiting. (for my 5800X to arrive, and the 6800XT to launch, then arrive)

I prefer to be able to run modern games at playable framerates. (prior to the Nvidia RTX stuff, that was a real concern with 2-3 generation behind hardware back then)

And if it is an even worse experience because they don't allow you to choose your own difficulty level, then not only will it not be fun the first time, you won't EVER go back for a second time. If you can cheat your way through areas that you don't want to spend hours wasted on, then that may allow you to enjoy it enough that you might feel like sinking that time in later. (that never happens if you can't skip it) -
Hellgate London 2038 (For those interested in playing)

The original models they used were such that it took the best possible gaming system of the time down to below 10FPS just to render a single fighter leaving the mothership. On topic: Avorion. Quite entertaining. Voxel-based world in the vein of Freelancer and X. (but nowhere near as difficult to learn as X, and way more stuff to do than either) Unfortunately, it crashed on me while I was mining a vein of Titanium that would've provided enough material for me to get halfway through the entire game. (I was still in the tutorial map too, lol)

Yes, you are weird for typing all that. Am I weird for being an insomniac?

Wrong thread, but right now you have to preorder so you're on the list of people they're going to send out to. (sever thousand people are currently on those lists) Or you can try and get one at a physical retailer, but your guess is as good as mine as to when they'll be in stock there.

Astrox, Astrox Imperium, Avorion.

Hyphenator.

No. That's just standard ADHD. Am I weird for "wait"?

The appeal back in the day was that it was incredibly detailed, had tons of units and choices, and it carried over your choices between levels, all in an RTS.
