Just added a secondary monitor to my setup... An IBM T545! (complete with color balance issues from use) At least it gives me some secondary screen real estate, and goes up to 75Hz refresh...

My recommendation for you: Move from glossy paper and pen to drawing paper and pencil. Otherwise, it's quite good for a beginner. -
