  1. Also one of my all-time favorites... Though it isn't aging too well.
  2. I still want to see Ross's take on Stellar 7.
  3. I believe you mean "bassheads". (yes, it's a word)
  4. Disclaimer: None of this means it was the best, most popular, or had the most episodes, just that someone managed to keep making it for that long. (and since it requires almost no money to make, it reduces the significance of the achievement greatly)
  5. For the most part, I agree... But if you don't have access to either of those, a VM beats not being able to play the game at all. Also, I believe you're talking about the Glide API when you mention 3DFX? If so, you can actually use modern cards with a Glide wrapper to play Glide-capable games. http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide is one that I have used in the past, I think... It's been a while... Here's a decent list of Glide wrappers: http://www.sierrahelp.com/Utilities/DisplayUtilities/GlideWrappers.html
  6. Ah... Well, in my defense, the description for that mechanic on its Wiki page (as of 10 minutes before I posted that) was almost word-for-word what you described in your mod posts.
  7. How do you know he had more education than me? Education isn't something that you have to go to a school to get. You don't even have to read, watch, or listen to anything to gain an education. Education isn't time-bound either. As for STEM schools, they still cater to those that have a standard learning style... (and lots of money, or a willingness to go into debt for years) I don't. I don't learn very much by reading an expensive textbook and sitting through boring hours-long lectures covering knowledge that is easily found in a, totally free, 5 second Google search. I am one of those people that can go through and learn 4 years worth of math and science in a few months, but can't seem to successfully complete an essay for English Comp 101 in under a millennium. (this effectively makes it impossible to get a degree in virtually anything with the modern school system)
  8. Highly recommend Fallout 4. With mods. (there are thousands already, most aren't just reskins, and the mod tools aren't even out yet)
  9. Me as well. I really hope resources renew at lootable places else I fear there may not be enough supplies for my Sanctuary plans. They do. Give it some time and they should respawn. I believe for plants it's once every 2 in-game days. I'm not sure if it's a mod that's causing it, but loot containers and enemy spawns take around an in-game week to regenerate.
  10. Best games ever. Of all time They are firmly in the land of "meh" for me...
  11. I've never even heard of it before... That it's a Gamecube exclusive is reason enough for that... I think the main reason for the game choice by your friend is (this is an extremely minor spoiler, so it's up to you, but I seriously doubt it will harm your gameplay experience)
  12. A few things that make this painful to watch... 1. Twitch movements are never comfortable to watch... Smoother and slower is a lot more comfortable, and a ton more realistic feeling. (who snaps their entire body around several times per minute IRL?) 2. Most of the time you don't check your corners. (this is probably due to you playing this previously, and at least partially memorizing the spawn and loot locations, but it's still annoying) 3. You passed up an easy to get health booster near the beginning of video 2. (people that skip loot for no good reason pisses off my OCD, part of why I never watch speedruns of Bethesda games and almost any non-'rail-shooter') 4. Frequently cycling your weapons is annoying. (it just is, as is turning your flashlight on and off in a well lit area) Just some observations of some flaws that you might be able to correct in future videos. It's good that it's available at 720p60, I wish more people would record at 60Hz.
  13. Just early 2016... Probly sometime in January. (I hope)
  14. Modified placeholders are relatively easy as well, so there's that too...
  15. Of course I'm not going to spend $120k minimum for at least 8 years of college, just to learn something I already know from people who don't know as much about it as I do. (or flat out think it's impossible to do what I've already done) Formal research training was never something Tesla had... Didn't stop him from making large-scale functional wireless energy almost a reality nearly a century before we started using it on a small scale for battery charging. And you know that those "perpetual energy" systems are all just modified clones of existing systems proven to not work... Not anything even close to practical zero-point/vacuum energy generation that almost nobody is working on. (for one thing, nobody in their right mind would ever claim vacuum energy to be an unlimited source, but it would appear that way to the uneducated)
  16. You never know, I may just get my hands dirty and try some modeling with this game... I'm not very experienced, but I have this design that's been in my head for about a decade now, but never actually made. (it's a .308 battle rifle, looks near-futuristic if I had to describe it, scope/s included)
  17. I'm sure you'll find a way. Now, how about all the mods? Staying with existing weapon mod models, or looking for additional models after GECK is released?
  18. Kinda what I was getting at...
  19. Yay! No more "you're supposed to hide in the shadows, you know, those areas that are only lit by 2 or 3 lights instead of several really bright ones"! I'd also say to check on this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3146/? This has to be the most modded game in the first month of its release... I'm seeing thousands of mods already. (a lot more than I saw with Skyrim or NV at this early in the release cycle)
  20. It may suck for your mod, but it does make at least some real-world sense. (excluding power armor)
  21. And even if there was, you can always use the console to change perks. Waiting for the FO4GECK is killing me...
  22. Fallout 4, and Star Trek Online... I'm up to 170 hours in F4, and 1700 in STO.
  23. I want to see a native automatic .308 rifle... The hunting rifle is all well and good, but way too damn slow rate of fire.
  24. That was one nice landing... It's sad that it took them this long to make something that would actually do it. (we've had the capability for decades)
  25. YAY!!! Thank you!
