Yeah... Teaching programing to 1st graders doesn't work too well, unless they also are teaching advanced math at the same time. Really, they should be combining math and programming into one class, as nobody really uses math professionally outside of programming anymore.

Essentially, it traces projectiles based on the physics math, not the framerate & display position of the projectile. (which was surprisingly common at the time)

Star Trek Online. Tribble server is very fun, but very lonely.

I've checked numerous times... It does not damage until the projectile hits. The way HL2 does its (non-crossbow) projectiles is a kind of hybrid projectile/hitscan. It uses mathematics to determine the distance the bullet has traveled along the hitscan path, and unless you're in the path when the projectile is supposed to hit, it doesn't do any damage. It also renders a projectile, and updates its position based on the mathematics.

I promise it's actually just a coincidence. But at least tell us your opinion of the movie!

I have several personal boycotts going... One is against the majority of the big name Hollywood studios. (one of the many reasons I am a Pirate) Horrible game/software companies I also boycott. (like I did with Microsoft as soon as they 'released' W10 without removing the keylogger they said wasn't going to be in the release version) Good ones, I find ways to fund. I refuse to purchase products advertised online, if the advertisement is intrusive. Personal boycotts do a LOT when you look at it from a business perspective. They cause a significantly bad reputation, and spread in an uncontrollable fashion. (word of mouth)

Star Trek Online.

I'll take you on when it comes to this... Take an unmodded game, and use console commands to put the timescale to 10% of normal, and you'll see all those bullets traveling, and you'll be able to dodge most of them. HL2 did extremely well in their representation of the firearms, the bullets move at least semi-realistically. (every bullet is a projectile, and they move very fast) The ONLY hitscan weapons in the game are lasers, everything else is a projectile. (despite several 'sources' saying otherwise)

He already covered this for the most part... He treated the HEV suit like it was bulletproof, so it didn't need the power from the HEV chargers. This also effectively removed the need for the health stations because his only injury throughout the entire series was a bullet grazing his ear.

Yeah, they disappeared for me from only Accursed Farms, they're working again now though.

I fought it long enough that it went away... OT: Installing Blender, and mentally preparing myself for learning to model without any tutorials. (I hate tutorials for these kind of things, all I want is an easy to read reference)
