Now, everyone, let's stay calm and not be mad at Valve for them talking so long for Episode 3. Instead, let's be happy because this wait means Episode 3 is going to be really freaking awesome. I don't see why they would need another Left 4 Dead. Left 4 Dead 2 is already awesome; it cannot be improved. Some people also think the Half-life series ends with Half-Life 2: Episode 3/HL3, but what if it goes on longer? Though I doubt it, since the world is probably going to be saved and everyone is probably going to be really happy by the end of Episode 3/HL3. Unless G-man puts us in stasis again. I would be begging for a another Half-life game then. At the end of the series, he should no longer have control of Gordon and neither should any of his employers. G-man dying would be pretty awesome, but I doubt it. I'm pretty sure I just wrote down all my thoughts about this thread right here in this post, so feel free to disagree with me so that I may return here.

I'm pretty sure Valve isn't going to merge the two series together. Yeah, they are set in the same universe, but not everyone is a fan of both Portal and Half-Life, so if Chell meets Gordon or anything like that, Portal and Half-life fans alike, (if the latter/former isn't a fan of the former/latter,) are both going to have no idea what's going on. However, Gordon getting a portal gun would probably be alright, even if players havn't played Portal, however, people would probably feel that it's out of place and I highly doubt any of this is going to happen anyway. I'm pretty sure there will be a connection between the two games though. There already has sort of been anyway. Aperture Science was mentioned in Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Black Mesa was mentioned in Portal several times. Besides, I certainly would not like a portal gun in Half-Life. Like I said, it would be out of place and, all of a sudden, Half-life has gone from a shooting game to a puzzle game. I'm sure no one would like that. However, if you only used it once and then it's taken away, I would be completely fine with that.

A summer release would be nice. A lot of people seem to have given up on this mod, but I still check up on it everyday. I'm actually quite surprised it hasn't been released already. Looking at the wiki and all it's pictures, it looks done, but obviously, it's not.
