Ross, why is everyone a pumpkinhead?
-
I picture him as the ultimate troll. He's probably able to do Gordon's job, but he *really* enjoys watching someone else do it instead.
-
Sorry to double post, but perhaps if Gordon had stopped his rampage after the testicle spider, that would be best case. No combine attacking, there are still xenians but no more infinite headcrabs to make zombies with.
-
That wasn't their reaction at all. It was more like "Hello opportunity to expand our empire!". Huh. I thought the canon was the combine were scared shitless that Gordon survived Ninlanth. Which is why they hit us so hard. Oh well, now it's headcanon
-
Arguably, he made it worse. I mean, Ninlanth's death basically made the Combine go "WAKE UP! There's a thing on this planet called "Earth" that could actually threaten us!" And thus the second, much more brutal invasion happened. Even single time Freeman has witnessed soldiers fighting aliens, the soldiers have always won. Always. I mean, if we WERE ready for the xenian invasion, it wouldn't be the "Ten hour war", as Mike claims. It would be a long one, but I think we as a species could kick Xen's ass. The combine, with their FAR greater military strength is another story. [quoting the guy who offered money] That brings me to point two: I would pay cold, hard cash to have this continue into HL2. I'm not joking here. I don't care how you do it, launch a Kickstarter with no prizes whatsoever except cans of beans, set up a Patreon where people get a video plus a smack in the face per month, whatever you need to do. [end quote] I second this. I would pay a goodly amount of money for Freeman's Mind season 2. Monetize your work all you need to, I mean at this point you DESERVE it. Hell, Freeman's mind is better than a lot of things I pay for via Netflix.

You mean... not get our their wallets, because Ross already has their money.

Think this might be a record. 4 Days from episode 64

I think it's because those red springboards of hell are so attention-grabbing, we assume that's what the devs wanted us to do, and we do it. I usually explore the shit out of game areas, but it just seemed to be a massive zone of those red springboards, so I shrugged and used them.
-
I'm impressed with the progress... and infinitely pissed that i didnt have to deal with the red springboards of hell. Like you I had no idea that was there.

Blu-Ray / DVD of the full Freeman's Mind?
GordonFreeman replied to RayNiko's topic in Freeman's Mind
So... Delete every freeman head intro except the first, and simply delete the video (but keep the audio) for the credits scene. I could do that pretty easily. -
Blu-Ray / DVD of the full Freeman's Mind?
GordonFreeman replied to RayNiko's topic in Freeman's Mind
It's pretty easy to do that in iMovie. It takes a while, that's all, and the tediousness increases for every clip you want to make into a full movie. I guess you'd just need to delete the Freeman head intros... maybe keep one of each alteration, and maybe kill the video but keep the audio for the stingers (The lines Freeman says during the accursed farm logos.) Would be even easier if the intros were uniform- I believe the ones that just had freeman's head were. -
Xen is.... weird. For some reason, i've played a whole bunch of complete runs of half-life, but I always seem to get confused with xen. Mostly the first part when you're asteroid hopping.
-
The seven hour war would have never happened.
-
If you let the soldiers and the xenians fight it out without intervening, the soldiers usually win. I think the combined military could take out the aliens. Not to mention you're slaughtering the soldiers wholesale- if you weren't doing that, they could probably do even better.

ROSS'S GAME DUNGEON: THE LAST STAND
GordonFreeman replied to Ross Scott's topic in Ross's Game Dungeon
Ross, this isnt a "He can't do it" comment, but if you want to get it done by the deadline, why dont you make longer episodes? It seems to me that the total production time is actually less for more. Or am I dead wrong? Also if you really want to play Union City, try this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/download-flash-and-video/ To download the flash game and fullscreen that thing. -
I think this is similar to the CarnEvil thing where someone convinced someone else he was wrong about the game Ross was playing. I asked the question, and he took it as my belief.

You did Chell's Mind? Why was it never finished, again? I didn't do it yet! I had a request from just one guy and it was so intense request that I said I'll do it. I admit I cannot finish Black Mesa , maybe Portal will be better, it's shorter! Meanwhile, some more things with Magda to come... in time... we're working on it (in between zillion things to do, especially that Ross has to do), between two of us, you can call me a slacker, I confess 100% There already is a Chell's Mind; an unfinished series. He's asking if you were that person.
-
Hey Ross, did you shorten the wait for the scientist to finish the portal? It always seemed an eternity longer from what I remember

Manhunt?

Can The original Grand Theft Auto happen? Or Unreal/tournament?

I'm interested to know what's in those 1500 files. 1500 redundancies? Or seriously loading 1500 files one bit at a time or something?
