"When we're inside, we're mostly outside and when we're... outside we're mostly... outside."

I'd rather freezing over sweating. You can always put another layer of clothing on to protect from the cold (and astronauts protect themselves from the near-absolute zero of outer space), but there's only so much clothing you can remove (strictly for the purposes of being not on the brink of heat stroke--other reasonings for stripping down notwithstanding). I hate being hot and where I am we're going into summer. Not going to be a happy camper if we get the heatwaves some are predicting.

The first Matrix movie really screwed up deja vu. In the movie, they show the cat doing the same thing back to back. That's not deja vu. They should've separated the cat doing the same thing by, like, a lot of stuff. Like maybe Neo's first time back into the Matrix, he sees the cat and doesn't think much of it, then later, when the deja vu scene has to happen, then they could repeat the shot.

Adding to YouTube isn't my department. HLPrincess takes care of that...but I gave her a workload to handle so it might take some time.

I can't speak the Czech language (in the immortal words of Bruce Willis: "I only speak two languages: English and bad English.") but I see some similar words such as "grafických snobech" for "graphics snobs". And the subs seem right on target. Thank you very much! I'll add this to my compendium now! I'm not sure why the original subs have weird timing sometimes and not others. Maybe because the software I use to time things out doesn't provide any buffer space between each line, I don't know. Apologies if that's a problem for anyone.

This is why you don't read the comments section of YouTube.

Danke schön! I don't speak German but I know how the German language is in comparison to something like English. My sympathies on this. I checked it against the video and it seems to work out beautifully (IMHO). So, thanks! I'll stick it in my compendium now.

So, I didn't know that Ross had released "Civil Protection - Aliens" as a two-parter on his YouTube channel. So, I've edited the subtitles I had for that video and split them into two parts. Here they are! civil_protection_aliens_pt1_en.srt civil_protection_aliens_pt2_en.srt

Subtitle update: Placemarkers added for syncing. Now all I have to do is move the individual pieces into place and fix formatting anomalies. I should be able to release the subs tomorrow. Thanks for the patience!

Thanks for that!

Glorify the weak
-
Subtitles are typed up. I still have to sync them. Have patience, folks. They'll be here soon. Also, does anyone know the title of the song where "Glorify the weak" repeats over and over again? I want to purchase a copy of that song for my collection if I can.

A suggestion for the Game Dungeon - Jump Raven
danielsangeo replied to Seiryoku's topic in Ross's Game Dungeon
Just a quick heads up. There's a thread for Game Dungeon suggestions already made. -
I don't know how obscure it is or if Ross will consider it too mainstream for the Game Dungeon, but I'd love to see the "Crush" series of games all in one review (sort of like how he's done game series in the past). The Crush series is a set of pinball games for consoles such as Turbo-Grafx 16 and Sega Genesis and is probably the best pinball series of all time. In my opinion. Now, I've only played Alien Crush and Devil's Crush so I can't vouch for the third: Jaki Crush and I didn't even know about Jaki Crush until I researched the Crush games. Looked at it on YouTube and looks good. I hope Ross will do the Crush series some day.

That's a pet peeve of mine, to be honest. Equivocation. "All feathers are light. Light is the opposite of dark. Therefore, there are no dark feathers." It's the taking of a word ("light") with two different meanings ("not heavy", "pale") and using one definition ("pale") in conclusion. The word "theory" has two different definitions but they word is only being used (incorrectly) in the conclusion. In colloquial terms, "theory" is synonymous with "guess" or "hypothesis". That's fine and dandy and I have no problem with that (in theory). It's when THAT definition is applied to something it should NOT be applied to that I have a problem. In scientific terms, "theory" is synonymous with "explanation of fact". It is the highest standard you can get in science. EVERYTHING that exists has an associated theory. The theory of gravity, the theory of electromagnetism, the theory of evolution, the theory of biology, the theory of germs, the theory of cosmological expansion ("the Big Bang"), the theory of thermodynamics, the theory of the speed of light, and so on. These are not hypotheses. These are not guesses. They are explanations of observable phenomena with a mountain of peer-reviewed evidence. To say something is "just a theory" completely misrepresents what "theory" is in this context. Some things are NOT eligible for debate. The composition of the Moon remains the same whether we believe it's rock or whether we believe it's Norwegian beaver cheese. They simply are. The "Big Bang" is one of those things that "simply are".

You should call yourself "Lady Magdalene" rather than "HLPrincess".

While I am the official (English) subtitler of Accursed Farms, I am not currently in charge of adding the subtitles to the YouTube videos themselves. There are still some subtitles that I've provided that have not yet been placed on the videos. Hopefully this will be sorted soon.
