I guess there aint much to innovate, COD will be COD, i have no problem with they updating the game graphics, adding a few changes and calling it a sequel, that would be okay if they didnt make it every single year for christsake. I mean, its not like their games will look terribly outdated in only 2 years, if they want to add new stuff just release it as a 15 bucks DLC, not a 60 bucks updated version of the same game, it is less of a dick move

Banned for not making it 500 pages long...YET

Axeldeath: Not all data cubes/emails/notes/books where there just to give you PIN codes and door codes, some of them provided information to make you rethink what approach you should take and who you should trust and what was the conspiracy all about, all under the benefit of doubt. I know Human Revolutions does not live up to the first one, but i honestly dont think games from nowadays can be compared to any games from the older days, but dont recognizing Human Revolutions still have some good RPG elements and say its just "an actiony shooter with pretty graphics" just make me think you truly didnt give a fair chance to the game. And yet you try to compare Skyrim with the original Deus Ex, what i think will only create an endless argument because its extremely hard to tell how much each one was important for their own time. My point is, i think Skyrim needed a main story that could stand as high as the amazing environment it have. Or they could had removed the main story entirely. But as you said, it is a matter of personal opinion, so lets leave it at that.

lack of storyline? The main story is all around the game, and it is a damn good one. The notes are not there to merely tell some pointless story, but to show the effects of the actions of the elements of the main story over the common folk, the information you find creates all that "conspiracy" feeling because it relates itself with the main story, and shows the true nature of agencies like UNATCO and the NSF and the whole government, even through they have idealistics visions where they will save the world from all evil, the notes show that they are part of the evil themselves. Not really, in Deus Ex, those "smaller stories" are there to support the main story, what makes the ending way more rewarding. In Skyrim, those "smaller stories" overwhelm the main story, even some of the miscellanous missions are far more interesthing than the main story itself, the main story just barely drags itself through the game. You can say that it is to be expected in a TES game and that it is a way to stop the players from rushing through the game, but sacrificing the main story is a real cheapy way to do that, and Deus Ex didnt sacrifice its main storyline

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - PC Game Review
The Scoutman replied to Alyxx Thorne's topic in Gaming in general
In other words: Sarif ending is more canon with good Adam Taggart ending and Darrow ending are more canon with evil Adam A BOMB is more canon with neutral Adam (but it still is a bad choice for close range combat). When in doubt just explode everything. -
for some reason i got to restart steam everytime i want to play tf2 or deus ex, other games work just fine.
-
And thats why im a story-whore, dont take me wrong, skyrim is freaking awesome, but if i have to pick between 2 great games i will go with the one with the better story
-
No need to bother about that, i was just saying a curious thing about the forum. For instance, did you know Ross have 2 forum accounts? 1 we all know, but there is a inactive one (you can find it when he posts an answer on the ancient topics)
