I think he just means that it ultimately didn't matter in the end what you did in the game, and that he didn't particularly like that. Your overall gameplay does change Adam's monologue at the end, hence why DX:HR have 12 endings, and IMO all of them are really good. But i heard your overall gameplay in Mass Effect: 3 does affect the ending sequence based on your "military strenght" or something like that. So i guess if mass effect was a game focused on the gameplay or with balance between gameplay and story, people wouldnt be complaining about the ending, but the entire "all your decisions affects everything" are the big appeal of the Mass Effect series (its even in the title of the game) so i can see where all the hate is coming from. (still, i think people are exaggerating.) On Topic:I got Saints Row: the third...talk about dissapointing endings. Still, fun to mess around.
