  1. Back on topic, guys
  2. Hotline Miami, PS Vita. Sure, the PC has better controls, but I can't fit my laptop in my pocket. Anyway, excellent game, very fast-paced and brutal
  3. Well when the PS3 is so outdated it becomes cheap, be sure to buy one to play this game! Or mooch a friend's PS3 for a bit. I agree that several dev's do that, but I honestly love both The Last of Us and the Uncharted series from Naughty Dog. I don't think they're just out to make money. I mean, obviously money is a big part otherwise that would be a pretty shitty business model, but by the quality of The Last of Us it shows that the people involved in making it really cared about it. IMO they're great devs. I've always done more console gaming than PC (Largely due to the fact that I've never had a good PC), but I personally feel The Last of Us is a good fit for the PS3. A PC version would be cool, yes (Not that I could run it anyway, but still), but Joel's not supposed to be good at aiming, he's not trained. So the somewhat imprecise nature of using an analog stick works in this context, in addition to the weapon sway. That's my opinion, anyway.
  4. Yeah, I plan on playing through single player at least four times. Probably more since it's so fun. 1.Normal (Done; See the story, get the trophy, and unlock Survivor) 2.Survivor (Current; Get the trophy and unlock Survivor +) 3.Survivor + (Future; Get the trophy) 4. Easy + (Future; Get trophies I miss, get all collectibles without fearing for my life and to brutally murder all the enemies I was formerly terrified of in my "Survivor" runs)
  5. "Quarantine" can be used either way. For small outbreaks, the infected individuals would be contained to stop it from spreading. In a larger outbreak, healthy individuals would be sectioned off in order to keep the infection out.
  6. Last of Us on "Survivor". I got to the first Bloater battle, ill prepared. Little health and no molotovs... shit.
  7. Well, it is the difficulty above "Hard", so I'm not really expecting it to be a walk in the park .
  8. More of "The Last of Us", actually progressing this time as opposed to being clicker food like the first million tries
  9. No problem. As for that little area and that last clicker, you can't strangle clickers and to save a shiv you can safely use a gun there. You can still be stealth about it and close in for a headshot. In any other area, simply try to avoid them entirely. If you do have get through areas where combat is unavoidable, always go for headshots to save ammo. Another important tip I left out. If it doesn't wear a helm, you can usually take it out in a single headshots. Success!
  10. That's true. Didn't think about that. I'll try that, thanks. I'm don't do lots of stealth games, so I suppose I'm not yet used to games making me be really patient
  11. About the infection About Survivor help
  12. I may need some tips for survivor, as I seem to have gotten stuck really early on
  13. Been playing it some more. The "Survival" Multiplayer mode is actually quite fun. And the "Survivor" single-player difficulty is... well, brutal. Hardly any supplies, harder enemies, and no listen mode. Some people don't use listen mode anyway (which is understandable), but I used it quite a bit my first playthrough. It also seems combat is no longer even a valid option. Stealth, running and dying seem to be your only options.
  14. That's mostly background info, no spoilerish stuff there. The Last of Us really is more about the characters dealing with the apocalypse than the apocalypse itself.
  15. Finished the story mode. My god, this game is incredible. I didn't like the online, but not because it's bad. The online mode is quite good, but I kind of suck at it so far. Do not read before finishing the game!
  16. Yep, and I'll bet they'll include something that says they can do that legally hidden amongst one of those ten page walls of text that you have to hit "agree" on before continuing.
  17. Finished The Last of Us. Time to try this thing on "Survivor" difficulty! Probably going to be a lot hiding and dying. Lots and lots of dying.
  18. True. The friendly AI running right in front of enemies without them noticing is a bit immersion breaking, but it beats the friendly AI fucking up your stealth left and right. I don't think the AI is quite as good as it was being hyped to be, but it's still excellent compared to most other games. Also, I love the voice acting. It seems spot on, even for the basic enemies. Minor Spoilers
  19. The Last of Us. This game is intense. The story is amazing. The animation is fluid. The graphics are beautiful (due to art direction more than raw power). The zombies are different than most (not just in origin and looks, they act different and the gameplay is different). The humans are smart. The friendly AI isn't perfect, but it's actually helpful instead of being a complete twat. Go buy this game. No PS3? Go buy a PS3 just so you can play this game.
  20. This is for any discussion of the new game from Naughty Dog, The Last of Us. First things first, please use spoiler tags for any potential spoilers. This is a game best experienced without any plot spoilers. The story is excellent and well told and I don't want anyone's experiences ruined. I really love this game, so I thought it needed a thread. It's the first game I've ever pre-ordered and I was not disappointed. So, discuss away!
  21. I'm super excited for the PS4 and the Xbox One, you guys! You wanna know why? It means I can get a cheap Xbox 360 soon! And a lot of PS3 games are already cheaper! As for getting a new console, I think I might just build an awesome gaming PC. Because PC gaming is so much better, but I've never had a particularly powerful computer, so I can't really play the newer games with double-digit frames per second.

    Oops

I wouldn't even think of asking, but the way you phrased it makes me curious. In an "I probably don't want to know, but now I have to know" sort of way.
  23. A DVD whirring madly as it copies files
  24. LIMBO PS Vita demo. I plan on buying this. You know, once I get a job and some money.
