Honestly, I don't get why people are making a big deal about how the fandom is 'dying'. Obviously things are going to slow down, we're between seasons after all, what did everyone expect? The only reason I see that people 'should' be leaving the fandom would be because of Alicorn Twilight, and even that is an overreaction, since it isn't like the only reason anyone ever watched the show is because Twilight didn't have wings. Seriously everyone, just wait for season 4, watch everything pick right back up, and stop making so much drama out of it all. Come on guys, the show doesn't have to stop being good just because it's on season 4, 'kay? But Season 3 wasn't good. Overall, if you look at it, after Season 1, things have been very steadily sliding downhill. Also, the gap between 2nd and 3rd season wasn't nearly as inactive as this one. You had the Humble Brony Bundle, a buttload of con's, FiMFiction absolutely soared in it's amount of content (albeit not all of it was very good), YouTube parodies, PMV's, and the like were in massive production, etc. This break is just everyone losing steam and twiddling their thumbs, running out of things to do and ideas to have. It just doesn't have that same genuine feeling anymore. A lot of what a fandom does relies on the quality of what it's based on. Hasbro is absolutely fucking the show in the ass and the brony fandom is feeling the pink sock repercussions.

So guys, I think I'm starting to fall off the bandwagon at this point. The fandom is kinda dwindling out. It isn't as immensely active and fun as it used to be, and the show has been going downhill, bigtime. While I love how great this community has been at producing good people and making friends from enemies and teaching love and tolerance (and let's not forget, saving my life,) I don't know if I'm going to continue being an active member. Sure, I'll watch the show. Sure, I'll talk about it with people. But no, I'm not doing anything to contribute anymore. I've done more than most and I feel like at this point, I've grown tired of putting my efforts into this area and will not continue to. But I'm not going to rebuke bronyness or anything. I'm just saying, I'm much more indifferent to it than I used to be.

I PLAYED MY FUCKING HEART OUT ON THAT SOLO AND SHE STILL GETS IT! I hate how my father insists I owe him everything. So invested in getting this solo tomorrow. Nobody else in the district is on the level of Gabby and I, the two Alto Sax 1's from Newark. So now we're competing for this solo in "Spirit of the Falcon." Gabby gets a lot of the preference from our instructor because I took a year off, and I'll admit that she's better than me at sight reading (though I've gotten very good this year). But this one solo... I don't know what it is, but I want it so bad. And though Gabby's a nice girl, she gets very selfish about solos, and though it comes off as playful banter, you can tell she's serious. If I could one up her just once, have something I've worked so hard at pay off for once, I'll be content with my own abilities as a player.
