  1. Well, the way I see it, that's just an announcement thread. This is about the actual software itself. But whatever. It would probably get more attention in the Valve subforum.
  2. I'm almost certain that that's Caroline as a young child. I mean, it makes too much sense.
  3. Didn't feel like watching all four Youtube videos, so I don't know what that's about. Firstly, I don't remember my source for the economic predictions; it might've been on CNN or something like that (wasn't FOX news or MSNBC, I don't watch biased bullshit.) Now, I would love for you to try to tell me that Obama hasn't tried and succeeded in some cases, in firing trillions of dollars into wellfare programs that really benefit a far too small percentage of Americans. That kind of wasteful spending doesn't just increase our debt at its usual rate, it skyrockets the debt by unbelievable amounts. That puts strain on every aspect of our economy to the point where we are going to collapse like a toothpick tower in the wind. McCain's ideas would have AT LEAST postponed this if not terminated it entirely. Here's the simple thing: You make more money off of exporting goods than you do taxes, because when you tax, your simply recycling your own money back into the government's hands, rather taking in "new" money from other countries. If you tax, your national value stays the same. If you export, your national value goes up. Also, exporting goods naturally creates more jobs, as you need people to handle and process the goods. Lowering taxes makes people happier, too. I'd rather have a happy public and more money than have dissatisfied people and the same amount of money. The next problem with liberal decisions is their almost deluded concept of helping individual people. People on welfare are a minority. Sure, it's okay to give them some welfare benefits, but burning through money to try to help people (some of them don't even care and waste that money, as there are a lot of people who sell drugs for food stamps) is completely idiotic. America runs on a Capitalist economy. There are ALWAYS going to be poor people. That's a fact of life. And don't go saying it doesn't have to be, otherwise you're talking Communist China, Russia, and North Korea, all three of those places being known to be oppressive shitholes. That's what's wrong wjth liberals. They dream so much of fixing things that, frankly, can't be fixed, that they also make things worse for the people that used to have it pretty well off. And yes, CEO's getting payed shitloads of money is pretty ridiculous. But sadly, they're in such a high position that they can control that money flow. Yeah, they're greedy bastards and they should donate their unbelievable amounts of money to a good cause, but that's usually not the case. And you can't do anything about it, because taking anyone's money, other than through small taxes, is wrong and unconstitutional, as it conflicts with their liberty to own property.
  4. See, you're 100% correct Vapymid, and that's the reason why this world is so fucked up. We can't do anything about man's desire for ultimate power. So yea, we'll cheat and overpower and influence the lives of independent people just to be better than another group of people across the world. We're idiots, really. We can't keep to ourselves and when we do reach out, we do it only out of greed and powerlust. It would be in the world's best interests for the USA and Russia to become allies, event though they won't, as it would certainly calm a lot of things down and make N. Korea much more wary about their actions, reducing one of the greatest threats in the world.
  5. Well Marijuana, like Alcohol and Tobacco, should not be a cheap commodity because of its high demand and effects. Possessing it should have a price on the owner, so taxes would be highly tolerable, but if they put a tax on it, it would have to be put on at the start, or else you get a lot of angry people and riots.
  6. I saw that vid before and yes, it's pretty damn funny. But Psychotic, you used to (and still do) reside almost entirely in the forum games area. Not much rep is to be found there. I've found that having inteligent things to say and putting them in the STD subforum gets a lot of rep and just consistently posting meaningful and intriguing things in any thread will eventually earn you rep.
  7. Change of subject: "Keying expletives into the side of one's automobile is a sign of trust and friendship." God that was funny...
  8. Shiny, I suggested Party of One, so I think he might be watching them out of order. Pinkie, nice find. Got a good laugh out of it. Me, you're worthless and have nothing to contribute to this thread other than your idiotic opinions. Get out.
  9. As my grandfather always says: "There are two things in life that are better than sex. The first is having breakfast for dinner. The second one doesn't actually exist, but it would be awesome if it did."
  10. That's how I roll. When you have a dad that takes the slightest bit if confrontation and acts like you're trying to drive him out of his own house and eventually shoves his hand into your face until you feel like your nose is going to break, you learn very quickly the art of Passive-Agression, which really helps you out in life. I feel like I've been set up to be the greatest food/writing/art critic ever. Nobody ever gets upset with me because of how easy I am about laying down criticism. It's usually deeply submerged on both sides with tons of positive fluff and is worded so perfectly that it's merely percieved as a mild suggestion rather than a "Do this, retard," correction. It also makes me a great troll-killer.
  11. Green Pill, all the way. Fuck this planet, I'd be living it large in Equestria! You wanna know what's really funny? My iPod won't let me watch a single one of the videos on this page.
  12. Ikth, chill out. It was one picture, wasn't even pony, was in spoilers, and was completely appropriate as a response. Yeah, Alyxx is right. The reason why it is MLP images is because the majority of our top posters and frequent image posters ARE bronies, so they tend to use pony pictures. It's not that there are too many MLP pictures, it's that there are too many pictures, and they just happen to be mostly MLP. I also would like to express my thoughts and feelings that this is one of the best-modded forums I have ever seen. Most decisions are reasonable, everybody gets along and the second somebody doesn't get along, a mod has jumped on it. Bans are used sparingly only for the most serious matters, and there's no (more) widespread discrimination against groups or specific people. My only regret is the loss of the lovely picture signatures (did KT disappear off the face of the earth or something? She used to be a somewhat frequent poster until she got butthurt about a mistake I made and apologized for, but she never came back.)
  13. how am i cluttering the thread when the pictures are in a spoiler? if anything that cuts down on clutter Also, try not to argue with people. That's something I've learned from this forum. It's best to play things RIDICULOUSLY passive-agressive or you're bound to upset someone. Don't point out how others may be wrong, simply emphasize how you might be right. And in this case, it's not going to inconvenience you that greatly to stop posting images everywhere, so it's best to just listen to Alyxx. She is your queen after all.
  14. That made me think of this: anwy2MPT5RE But I can see how pictures can clutter up the page, but (and this question is moreso for Alyxx) if we put the image in spoilers for image-only posts, is that allowed? And Shiny, I realized afterward that I'd forgotten Dress for Success, but then remembered it was about Rarity and I'd already been posted over, so I didn't bother. Because once you watch Sonic Rainboom, Dragonshy, and Stare Master, and you enjoyed them, you're hooked and you'll probably watch the rest of the season anyway. And may I ask why YOU are the go to brony for this? I've done my fair share of conversions (7, to be exact.)
  15. I think today might be the day I finally get back on my FanFiction. And I must say, that ship you posted is actually pretty cool. Their colors match and stuff so they seem to match each other very well. Alyxx, I find your avatar frackin' adorable. I might be switching to a humanized Fluttershy in a little while, too.
  16. i'm gonna get outside and get working on moving the bigass pile of sand and dirt we ordered BEFORE my dad wakes up to impress him. Also, I'm absolutely buggering over Alyxx's new avatar.
  17. I'm not big on international politics, but if Russia is so fearful of the NATO force, why don't they develop an alliance with America. Second, I can't be with Russia in this situation. They can't control another independent country the way they seem to want. Finland can do what it wants and whatever is best for Finland.
  18. Wwell, it's a Democracy. The people have a choice in their leaders. If they want to elect monkeys, they will be equally responsible for the death of this nation. Back in 08, Obama almost indubitably won because of his popularity with minorities, simply because he was a black candidate. McCain really was the better candidate, and now, because we elected a liberal retard, our economy is fucked. But when everything is going to hell, hopefully I'll be Somewhere far away or six feet under.
  19. Where are all my Skype Friends?!
  20. Wait... What? I'm almost positive I said it is adorable. Gene Simmons is not meant to be condescending in this situation. He is merely admiring the rotating ball of cute on that record player and OH MY GOD YOU'RE CRYING! Please stop, you're too cute to be sad. God couldn't have the evil in his heart for you to be sad. Cheer up, Vinyl, you've still got your hoity toity girlfriend who's had a violin bow lodged up her ass since she was 5.
  21. 8/10 Dem some pretty cool beans.
  22. Good God, That's Adorable.
  23. That's a good question. I mean Hell, THIS is a meme:
