It is another thing Bioshock and System Shock 2 have in common; at a certain point in the game you "finish it", what comes next is pointless nonsense that you only want to wade through to officially finish it. In Bioshock it is everything that comes after the Andrew Ryan encounter, in System Shock 2 it is when you enter the Rickenbacker.

If Kimothy is on the surface of the sun, surely she must be very hot, or feel very hot at least.

Today I picked up an EA executive upside down and shook him. Three quarters, car keys, SiN and two congressmen fell out of his pockets.

The Accursed Farms "Best Game of 2011" Awards

Actually there are no games in that poll that I have played. Sam 3 and Dead Space 2 are the only ones I have. -
The Accursed Farms "Best Game of 2011" Awards

There is as much room as the admin is willing to allow. Max 10 poll options can in 20 seconds be raised to 100, or 1000 for that matter. Since my vote goes to Serious Sam 3 BFE I will naturally not vote in the poll. -
AMD's new FM1 socket and A series processors

In 2011 you don't need a good GPU to max out Half-Life 2, let alone running it. -
Overpopulation is going to be a rising issue until we can colonize other planets. Population control is simply impossible on a global scale. Considering that a) we are not even close to building decently sized spaceships and b) we are still trying to find holes in Albert Einstein's theory of special relativity, let alone developing large engines that can take us to supersolar speed, I wouldn't expect travelling to other solar systems to be a viable option any time soon.

Not really sure why this is put into the forum that covers events and subjects that are actually important/food for thought. And I find it quite laughable how Jobs' death raised so much reaction but most media never even mentioned Ritchie's death in a so much as a small side-column. I bet Jobs is in the afterlife saying to us rhetorically "So iDied, so maccing what? Sheesh.". But rest in peace Steve, whether you're Steve Jobs, one of the founders of Apple or Steve Doe, the guy down the street in some random neighbourhood in some random English speaking country, your deaths are equally sad and my thoughts go out to your families who experience emotional pain during that difficult time.

What I found the most surprising was hearing about the lack of graphics settings. This game was years in development, couldn't a professional programmer have spent an hour or two writing menu elements and linking them to variables? The state the PC version was released in was not just a clusterfuck, iD just didn't give a fuck. Simple as that. It really does hurt though. I'm a huge a iD whore. Hopefully Doom 4 will be a return to form for them.

I can understand if a post makes you angry but this is not a mature way to start a counter-response. Reputation points are entirely meaningless any way, for the simple reason that people can award them for any possible reason or occasion their wild imagination can think up. The only reason you have this many reputation points is because you have built up a hype momentum where people are more prone to giving you reputation for the most pointless of posts exactly because of your high number of reputation visible in your profile box as well as your gargantuan post rate. Just look at your reputation history, you are getting rep for stating a song in a boring "what are you listening to thread" or random one-line agreements. If I had this luxury I would have passed 100 reputation by now. The reputation system is fun for entertainment reasons but judging a person by it in any more detail than the minus sign would be short-sighted. Attack Michael's statements and arguments, not his reputation points on an internet forum. If you get angry or upset in any other way, walk away from the computer for some time and cool off. Make a sandwich or cup of tea, read a book, just something that gives you time to digest what you read earlier.

The discussion on genders is very much relevant to this topic and actually makes it interesting, as opposed to just reading a redundant list of "I'm male"s and "I'm female"s.
-
Girls who want recognition for their "unusual" talent could do like Lisa Simpson in that episode where the school was split into two halves by gender. She disguised herself as a boy and only revealed her true gender after proving her excellence in mathematics. Though the girls in my class in university don't need to do so, they are quite a few studying computer science and high level mathematics. By the way, did you know that the world's first programmer was a woman?
-
I am pretty sure that this particular poll is asking about people's physical gender, but making that clear in the poll question wouldn't have hurt.
-
It is interesting to see such a "high" ratio of girls in these parts. One community I frequent has only ONE girl out of maybe a hundred guys who participate regularly. The site is kind of small but it is nearing 1 million posts. The gaming world really needs more girls, I predict as soon as they become a meaty percentage guys will cease being assholes for the most part due to the "novelty" of a girl joining a server or announcing her gender on a forum disappearing.

Well, such people are ignorant. I don't walk down the street and drool over every single female I see just because I'm a straight guy. I was more poking fun at my own appearance, claiming I am attractive enough that every gay and girl drool. Which is true of course but I suppose you know what I mean...
-
If you honestly took that post seriously I can not help you bud.
-
Girls with British accents are to kill for. I see that you are building a man. If you need more straw then let me know.
-
We attractive people have to be careful what we say, because if anyone gets the wrong idea we will be forced to shatter their hopes.
-
Any straight guy should be creeped out or at least feel uncomfortable by those words coming from another guy unless it is just an occasional inside joke or such. It would not be politically incorrect to feel that way, it would be normal.

A person's sex makes a whole lot of difference on how you interact with him/her, whether it is unknowingly or not. This is in part due to the way society maps the roles, we take certain "features" of the opposite sex for granted. For example I don't call my guy friends "sweeties" and feel rather creeped out by the thought alone. It doesn't even need to be a girlfriend, just a friend who is a girl and I will interact with her differently than if she was a guy. However whether a person is a guy or a girl doesn't really matter, a good person is a good person.

I don't mean to be rude here but I was able to guess your nationality based on your earlier question before looking at your Location field. Of course interest and knowledge of geography is down to the individual for the most part but the US do have a rep for being rather ignorant about the world around them. As for other regions like Africa or Asia, I haven't a clue, but Africa and its poverty problems probably bring a shortage of education for the public as a whole.

In the United States or worldwide? Because I find this statement hard to believe if you mean the latter.
-
Well, you succeeded either way. I am a guy, by the way.

Croteam are good at many things, but leniency is not one of them.

tzmwbiidLOk "Frelsarans slóð" means "The saviour's path". The lyrics talk about how we interpret the words of the bible, for example "Það fossar blóð í frelsarans slóð" (At the start of the chorus.) means "There flows blood in the saviour's path". @SmartGuy: I don't understand Ukrainian or Russian (Well, I can read many of the letters.) but I find these languages really beautiful both when spoken and sung. Of course I can not tell them apart so I have to reference them together. . .
