Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools
Bjossi replied to BTGBullseye's topic in Serious Topic Discussion
Michael explained my thoughts quite well, no need to repeat it. I personally find evolution lightyears more believable than creationism, I simply do not understand how grown up adults can find creationism making more sense. To semi-quote what Bill Maher once said: it seems that when religion is being discussed people just throw all logic and common sense out of the window, even the more intelligent people. -
I've strangely enough never gotten this error yet.

Wow, sweet. But I'd prefer watching this after a one-file download.

There are all sorts of fears around, perhaps homophobia could be classified as fear of the unknown, much like people who are afraid of disabled people and get really nervous around them.

Link or it didn't happen. (I am just asking for a rick roll or trololol, aren't I?)

I thought I was the only one who has heard of that game. The cringe-worthy graphics aside the gameplay was kind of fun, though I never finished it. It reminded me a bit of Juggernaut (for Quake 2).

I am confused. You want a future-proof PC but you want to stick with XP like the other cave dwellers and an old generation of dual-core processors. That just doesn't make sense bud. Intel i7 or an AMD equivalent, 4-6 GBs of DDR3 (choose 3-stick setup for triple-channel), Windows 7 64-bit, that is fairly standard for today. The GPU you have your eyes on is alright though but it is in the budget range. nVidia's naming scheme is not all about numbers. A 7900 GTX will outperform a budget card from the generation above it, the budget cards of 8000 may have newer graphics technology that can help them in certain situations but the 7900 GTX has the brute strength. Hence why I was not surprised when a high-end Geforce 4 outperformed my old FX 5700 LE. Just keep this in mind, in case a high-end GTX 200 series is cheaper than a budget GXT 400 series, make sure to find some benchmarks where they're tested against each other. Personally I'd rather look for a budget card in the GTX 500 series though, assuming they have arrived by now of course.

i am going to that small store booth and buy an advanced suit and the store will close around me and dress me up in some super sci-fi way and once the process is done the door will open and i will step out and pose to look all super badass because that is exactly what i will look like just before the helmet folds around my head in an even more badass fashion *catches breath* At this point I am ready to head for Machinima HQ with my trusty Ripper. Limbs will go flying en friggin' masse. I may have been playing too much Dead Space in the past weeks.

Something is wrong, that is for sure, our clever website maintainers will find and solve the problem in the end. On a side note, Alyxx, you have to step up your posting if you can, you're down to just ~77 a day.

I found Nihilanth to be an excruciatingly boring end boss, and in my opinion he can not be called a villain.

I never had any problems accessing the forum except during the short downtime.

Stasis greatly helps, especially with those crawling bastards, they're fast. You know, I'm in chapter 11 now and after having bought and upgraded the ripper, I regret not buying this monster sooner than half-way through chapter 10. Go damn that thing is brutal. One blade can take out two or even three enhanced slashers. It made the big elevator ride in ch. 11 a breeze. I've been having trouble keeping up with putting excess ammo for my other weapons and other supplies into the safe or selling it. And not only does it deliver devastating damage (fully upgraded), it also has the advantage of instantly cutting pickups out of the fallen necromorphs, very useful in bigger fights where many bodies would otherwise disappear before you can stomp them. The ripper will be bought in ch. 5 on my next runthrough. (Yes, there will be a next runthrough. This game is bloody awesome, despite countless bugs, many of which amazingly managed to escape through QA.)

Never underestimate the power of stupid things in large numbers.

Ok then, Machinima, if not last weekend then surely the upcoming one, right?
-
No no, do that after we get our hands over The Tunnel.

People can get that old.

You sure it isn't procrastination? I should have the lead role if they ever make Procrastinator 2: Judgement Day.

Being friends with an ex is anything but easy, I have come to know that quite well in the last month. It is even worse when she has found someone else.

The initial PC purchase is alarmingly expensive if you choose enthusiast hardware, which no sane person would buy. PC hardware has been getting noticeably cheaper in recent years, I don't see the price argument working as well as it used to, you can get badass parts for pretty little. Future upgrades of individual parts will be even cheaper as well, since you don't always need to upgrade everything at the same time. PC games are also more often than not cheaper than console games. And remember what is in those console boxes; ancient hardware which each new game showcases more and more clearly. Have you ever taken a look at what resolutions the common console games are rendered at? Hint: It is not 1920 x 1080. You get what you pay for, pretty much. But for the computer illiterate, not having to deal with driver updates and stuff like that is a big bonus. Console games Just Work, in 99% of cases anyway.

It sucks that the best revenges can only happen in scripted stuff like games or movies. I wanna brutally murder the people who I feel deserve it and get away with it. . .

And I like how you write it even more incorrectly than him. It is Tuesday and still no Tunnel. The queen and I are not amused.

I want a refund!

Postpone the attempts to break the shell I've formed around myself over the past dozen years.

I'm lucky to still have my job. Guess there is never a shortage of old photos that people want to have digitized for them.
