Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools

But when? At what age should people be first taught without the risk of bias towards one of the two? -

Yes, they were merged together. Posting a second message right after one's own should only be done to bump a thread, in all other situations the edit button works just fine. Now let's not go off the tracks and return to the topic. -
Black Mesa isn't quite as old as DNF is, though. It started in 2005 iirc. All current clues do lead to a 2011 release. I saw a thread over there that tells the soundtrack is finished, and once they release it we'll know the mod will come a few weeks later.

http://www.wavpack.com/ Basically an open source codec that can be used with no fees. For example in recent version(s) WinZip uses it to compress wave files within zip archives. I guess it is a hit or miss whether flac or wavpack compress a particular audio file better but wavpack has a cool (optional) feature; extra encoding work that can further compress a file without impact on decoding speed, but encoding can get sandwich-making slow at the max setting unless you have a very fast processor. My only complaint is the lack of multi-core utilization, but to be fair that support is rare on the codec level, as far as I know only TAK does it. With batch scripting or using software like foobar 2000 one can get pseudo-multicore support by encoding 2+ files simultaneously with equally many instances of the encoder, each instance using its own core. We are getting a tiny bit off topic I think.

Hm, I should have specifically used the term 'lossy compression', indeed lossless compression can be done n number of times with no loss just like converting from one lossless format to another. I use lossless audio (WavPack) for my music but I don't really have the space to prefer lossless video.

I only found it useful against some enemies while my stasis was still lame, it could kill in two shots no matter where the spears hit. Very good against the "Roadrunners" until I figured out to just stasis them and take out a leg and an arm with two quick bursts from the pulse rifle (Which was my main weapon before the ripper.). Some people may hate it but I love the inventory management and upgrading (System Shock 2 introduced me to that stuff a decade ago.), I can sometimes stay at a bench for good 5 minutes planting nodes here and there. Though once I reached the latter half of the game my gear was powerful to the point where the upgrades didn't matter so much to me, I just made quick decision to finish this or that lose end.

It is in "blue status", says "Seeding", "0 (3)" peers. Still at 2.15 MBs with no current movement. I'm all for helping people get FM onto their computers but this is a little underwhelming. . . EDIT: Just saw your edit. Guess this is a waiting game now. Leeches can be annoying, taking stuff and not contributing themselves. For most of my active torrents I have seeded multiple times the filesize of their content.

Going to the cinema here costs considerably less than a newly released standard DVD. I prefer buying the DVDs for the lasting value but the experience of the massive display and the powerful sound system is something I don't have at home.

Any re-encoding results in quality loss, you are applying compression to an already compressed source. The question is whether the quality loss is perceivable.
-
It should be only a few hundred MBs if it is in HD (720p more specifically.).
-
I put the javelin gun into the safe in favour of the ripper, I was hardly ever using it. I may bring it back into my inventory in New game+ and fully upgrade it.
-
Whoever maintains the website is obviously not paying attention, for one reason or another.
-
Thanks man. Still no seeding but at least it turned blue again. Guess there is just no demand for this torrent at the moment.
-
Encoding them together results in quality loss, it is preferable to do a merge without a re-encoding pass, but I am not sure what software can do this. I do not use Chrome, either.

This torrent shows up as red on my end (I use uTorrent.). Is it possible to bypass this somehow, like adding more trackers to the torrent?

Dead Space 2, chapter 15. I can smell the end. The Ripper was such a smart purchase. It has served as my primary weapon since mid-ch. 10 and my ammo stash has grown rapidly since then, I got over 500 plasma cutter ammo in the safe for example. You know, I did not intend to waste ammo on the Ubermorph but stasising it just doesn't buy me much time at all, I can sever all four limbs with a ripper blade which in addition to a blast of stasis can keep him busy for up to 15 seconds I think. And here is a tip from me regarding this part of the game: when you reach the platform where you turn off gravity and air pressure, you can backtrack all the way back to the Brute fight room in ch. 13 without the Ubermorph bothering you, so feel free to go back and collect stuff you missed and kill necros if you dodged any (I killed them all, muahahah.). If I hadn't backtracked I'd have missed a power node, some lockers and crates and a whooping diamond semi-conductor. I just bought the Contact Beam and almost fully upgraded it in one go with the 21 nodes I had at the time, 5 of them went into upgrading HP though. I heard this weapon is devastating in DS2 compared to DS1, plus I imagine it will come in handy against whatever I will be shooting at before finishing the game.

I will call our new pet bot George.

It definitely is, unless the woman is the actual rapist.

Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools

Wait, what happened here? Did someone delete his/her posts between Axeldeath's? And Axeldeath, I had to fix two misquotations in your earlier posts. Putting words into the wrong person's mouth is the one thing you do not want to do in a forum like this. Be careful in the future. -
Loved this episode, it kept me at the edge of my seat. The guy staring at Mike after Dave went missing seriously creeped me out. Still waiting for that download. . .

I look forward to see the tram ride at the start, and the updated look of the first parts of the lab (Your journey to the test chamber.). And Xen. They are making a really big deal out of it, keeping it a super-secret.

What is Your Favourite Freeman's Mind Quote/Episode/Moment
Bjossi replied to Trickiert's topic in Freeman's Mind
Fire the cannon! *tonk* *kaboom* "Ar har har har har har!" *gunshots* I love the pirate laugh, he does it only twice during the episode, which makes it that much more special. -
Nice, I only need to seed around 4000 times my current number of MBs to catch up.

The fear of the unknown (very) arguably gave birth to religion in human society, I would say it is quite common.
