  1. Rushing to the nearest HEV suit discount sale? Don't know...
  2. It isn't that simple. IP masks can be employed, as well as one-time-use email addresses during registration. And you did not answer the point of my post; why would you even do this for such a pointless and trivial gain?
  3. Hey, that is my job.
  4. I meant above the upper lip and below the nose, of course. Silly error on my part. But I do have a slight unibrow so that sentence does make a bit of sense like that.
  5. If you compiled a list of rooms and areas in Half-Life, I think it would be rather short if you filtered out all the illogical ones.
  6. Common sense maybe? Who in their right mind would go through that trouble and risk getting banned just to have a different user name? I fear for the well being of people with that sense for priorities. Any ways, suddenly I know this community again. Nifty.
  7. I got both hair on the chin and a moustache, but not right below the nose ("cut" in two parts), I guess it kind of looks like what Johnny Depp has going.
  8. Hey, at least Alyxx isn't telling the truth.
  9. I think it is actually integral that Half-Life 3 is announced no later than soon after BM's release, because with DNF and BM released HL3 will be crowned the new DNF, which is not a good thing because it would build up immense hype that will leave most people disappointed by the finished game, except maybe Alyxx.
  10. http://forums.blackmesasource.com/showthread.php?t=11509 Even the regulars there are being (carefully) optimistic. Axeldeath, when something is being actively worked on, the probability of its release constantly increases. The probability that BM gets released in 2012 is higher than in 2011, and in 2013 is higher than in 2012, and so on. I imagine the probability is getting pretty damn high by now, hence why even the long time fans of the project seem to be giddy about this. I would actually be surprised if BM didn't see a release in 2012, and if it won't, a 2013 release is probably almost certain.
  11. 1406 - If you read this number aloud in the year format you first get the age of the girlfriend and then the age of Hugh Hefner.
  12. Possibly but there's no harm done while you're happy and the process has no negative long term effects.
  13. It really depends on your native language. For me German is much, much easier to learn than Russian.
  14. 1000000 Σ i i=1403 There, done counting to 1 million.
  15. ^ This.
  16. I know the "blood" isn't the worst thing. The whole girl's character turns into chaotic-evil. My girl friends react to the menstrual cycle very differently. One experiences pains during the period while other feels nothing and I have actually never really noticed any particular "bad days" that happen in a rhythmic pattern of 4 weeks or so. Like with pretty much everything else the individual is above generalizations. (Yes, for some strange reason the menstrual cycle becomes a subject matter occasionally between me and (some of) my girl friends.)
  17. Is that the film all those Hitler parodies come from?
  18. Isn't one day a bit short? You'd be one day just getting used to it. I'd rather start with a week.
  19. I highly doubt he only has one codebase of the engine. At worst the PC arc will simply be left unchanged.
  20. I feel comfy the way I am but it would be cool to try be a girl temporarily if such opportunity arose.
  21. Who are you to judge? Even if you are a programmer you know absolutely nothing about this engine's inner workings. Hell can you even tell whether the rendering engine is acting up or the drivers that handle its communication with the hardware? I know I can't. Besides, all software that has a source code available is redeemable because it can be fixed and improved.
  22. Pink is a beautiful colour if you ask me. It's a shame society automatically assumes that guys are weird or gay if they use it for any application.
  23. Laws and morals are two different things. I have broken the law many times without feeling any guilt, because a lot of laws are fucking stupid. Governments spend so much time dictating how adults should be allowed to live their lives. Very simply put as long as what I do doesn't harm another individual's happiness directly or indirectly I don't consider it morally wrong. But I digress.
  24. Zenimax allowed Carmack to release iD Tech 4's source code for free, if they aren't letting iD Tech 5 get licensed they are being incredibly dumb, like most other brains behind publishing companies.
  25. Of course it is tied to the economics. If you had choices of two stores to rob, the moral difference would likely be decided based on which store suffers more from it. Like choosing between some big name outlet or the small neighbourhood grocery store run by two blind elderly ladies. The morality aspect is also exactly that; who will suffer, not just by how much. To me pirating a small piece of software written and distributed by some programmer with good will on his/her own website seems much worse than pirating a shitty Hollywood film, for example. So for me there is no definite answer, whether one is worse than the other is down to the particular cases being compared.
