We all love Freeman's Mind and Ross says it's a great filler for in between larger projects. I can't imagine why he wouldn't continue Freeman's Mind just to have to come up with some other 'filler' to show us. To me it's a no brainer. As long as Ross is working on video projects that take a long time to complete he'll need filler material. Freeman's Mind is perfect. Fans love it and it's established and fairly easy to produce. So, yes, I want it to continue and ... So why not do it?

It's not a bug but don't you love how two whacks with a crowbar smashes a thick-ass crate but the cardboard boxes are INDESTRUCTIBLE! Black Mesa got some serious paper products research department going on!

I am very impressed with the mod. I've only gotten just beyond the resonance cascade but so far it's great!

I've played up to right after the resonance cascade and i've done the same thing. I replayed Freeman's Mind quotes in my mind throughout playing it. I just smile. It's so funny.

By xen, Gordon will probably feel like he is the only one who can save our existence so he will feel obligated to save humanity, or maybe just himself and saving everyone else is just a desirable side effect, so pushing his way through the crazy world could be a funny exploration. Gordon wandering around floating rocks just like any other area with Ross providing great commentary is what I expect. BTW, extracting black mesa now. I am CRACKLING with excitement!!

Whatever it will be, it will probably be good. He'll probably tell us he's going to use the Black Mesa Mod. ...Well not now i guess cause i just said it. ...and it's dumb. Maybe that's why I said it. *sigh*

I agree with everyone so far. Just wondered if anyone really wished that BMS had come about.

Wrap your brain around this ... The Black Mesa Mod should pay tribute to Ross 'freakin awesome' Scott by adding the dialog of Freeman's Mind into the gameplay of the Mod! Add it where it applies, of course, thus turning Freeman's Mind into a playable game. That would be cool. It's not going to happen, but still cool!

If Ross had been slower in his production of Freeman's Mind maybe there would have been episodes made with the Black Mesa Mod coming out. But then again he may have still foregone using the BMS mod because xen wasn't going to be included (yet), and if he reaches xen before BMS does then he'd have to revert to low-res or postpone indefinitely, and NOBODY wants that. I for one am glad he's not switching engines to create FM. I believe even if it was during a transition like the one where freeman gets knocked out it would still be weird and disruptive to the rest of the story. Not only that but who knows what 'liberties' have been taken with the new mod! I know they are supposed to be true to the original game which should mean that the levels are at least similar if not the same. I like FM in part because it does stay true to the game, for the most part. I mean I realize some cheats were used but I believe they were used for the right reasons. Personally, Ross should finish Freeman's Mind with the original HL and then just redo it ALL in Black Mesa Mod. Oh, i know. scrap that idea. I know, hindsight is 20/20 but I haven't created a new topic in a while so ... What the heck!!! IF there's already a topic on this then... wooops! Thoughts on the matter?

You know you're obsessed (or is that absessed?) with AF when you create 10 users on 10 computers on 10 different networks for potential future use because you're so paranoid you'll get BANNED for pointing out security flaws!

I'm one of those people whose eyes don't work in stereo very well. My depth perception sucks. But even if it would work for me I think just one special episode should be made that way. It would be too much trouble, i think, to do the series (FM) that way. To keep consistent you wouldn't want to start doing that in the middle of the series. And to redo all old episodes is just time wasteful. CP would be the better candidate for doing 3D because they are pretty much stand alone episodes. So a movie, like The Tunnel, could have been produced in 3D and maybe done well.

Maybe Ross is trying to write out the part about the suit administering morphine because 1) He found the 'mute' button in episode one as a way to maybe remove it from the story and 2) Does it really make that much sense? What am I saying? OF COURSE it makes sense in a James Bond villain company!!
