HAHahahahaha!

Very good points and I would definitely agree. Even in your physics mood, which I would normally encourage, I think your arguments and writing is among the clearest and understandable of everyone here. Geez man, you shouldn't push that stuff too far. Unless you think you're getting closer to some truth, I don't know how you can stay up so long and spend the time to write all of this. Doesn't slowly losing your sanity and coherency kind of hurt?
-
Yeah, that would be a heavy amount of processing to get it sounding that authentic, and in the end it would sound much more fabricated with so many effects anyway. Nope, Ross just uses the pure old skill of his voice to become the Doom Guy.
-
No, that's great. I want to hear anything I can about it, even if that means gossip. The award is just so cool looking.

Hah, I guess your belief is entirely irrelevant to the argument of whether it's a theory or a fact / how a theory is applied. Maybe a better question would be Do you believe that it's wrong? Is there such a word for describing the acceptance of something as a fact, without necessarily believing in it yourself? Meaning that, for all intents and purposes, you could happily accept a scientific model and work on it as an astrophysicist, but could not entirely believe in something that is as metaphysical or abstract without some kind of firsthand knowledge. I guess I would agree with this, I believe it's an accurate view of the larger scientific community, but I dislike the comparison. The theory of the Big Bang was born of the observation that other galaxies are moving away from our own at great speed. I would not think the observation that the earth orbits the sun is evenly tangible to this model for the origin of the universe. It is a pretty cool model, and unless a discussion like this were ever brought up, I wouldn't really question anybody's views.
-
I don't have any strong views on this, but I wanted to point out that perhaps the use of "fact" is causing a problem of terminology in this discussion. On an extensive meta level, one might think to establish what "proof" or "truth" really mean to the topic of cosmology... Err, if that makes sense.

Yeah, Freeman probably should have looked at it more directly, but I'm glad somebody else noticed, Arby. Have you noticed the like/dislike ratio is about 3,000 to 3? That's pretty cool.

Some form of global Astral Projection?
-
Hmm, what makes you think he's working on anything at all? And what if she's giggling at her own April Fool's?
-
Oh, oh yeah... I guess I got a little excited. I play even older versions than you it seems.
-
Freeman has received head trauma. Ouch ouch ouch. That is not good. Haha, good response. Yeah, same. Just look at those nostalgic menus! As compared to: I mean, why be punished for playing it on Steam? Another comparison... Half-Life WON version: Opposing Force WON version: Blue Shift WON version: Ahh, you can hear the menu beeps from here... But then... Half-Life: Decay Steam version Why? WHY!? Sorry for the image-heavy post, I'll try and clean it up later.

But WOW, that's amazing! I could always hear the sting of a TV as well, but never heard anything that high. I guess I'm glad now...
-
Haha, I wouldn't be that harsh. If you don't think it's the most realistic shooter, what game would you nominate? I like the head-camera bobbing, it feels smooth... well, not that I've played it.
-
Ahh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. Five sounds per each draw and holster in a set is actually a great number, I wouldn't say it's too much. So it's the impulse code that is binded to a key, but Valve never really counted on switching weapons that way? Explains the jittery movement. We'll see if Ross gets word of this and whether it'll be in Freeman's Mind for the later episodes.
-
Wow, Blacktronics, that's pretty cool. I might suggest using a less intense sparkly metal effect, but I otherwise really like it. I'll see if I can set it as my own wallpaper but my setup may make that difficult. Freeman's Mind inspired art is quite rare. It kind of reminds me of This Wallpaper. I couldn't find the full version online, only that page.

Bullseye, you are awesome for doing this. I also agree with your K-Lite Codec recommendation.
-
Wow, did you make this!? What a fantastic script, Vedad. Thanks so much for sharing! It could definitely prove useful. Is this script activated by a binded key, or does it just fix the current transition animations? It looks very cool, I'd like to try it out in-game later on. I especially like how the script can be modified to pick each set sound file randomly. Also, are there any custom animations in this pack that are not in the original game? For instance, the MP5 holstering?
-
But what if you're referred to as Hermaphroditus? You have once again outsmarted your opponent.
-
Haha, what? That's the best mistake I've ever read. AHAHAHAHA! You have an imagination, but that would be hard to script. Also, would it be better to leave the bolt in for a little? To at least prevent bleeding out, or maybe the burns could even seal your wound in some cases?

I never particularly thought Morgan Freeman's voice was that soothing or great to listen to. It's just normal to me, but then I've heard Ross's voice so much that it's kind of become unnaturally familiar and it can be hard to judge. Not in a bad way, I would definitely choose Gordon to read an audiobook over Morgan, I'm sure. One thing I do like about Morgan's voice is how people impersonate it and use it in a very different context: iat0ntfPL5s

Seriously? You have tinnitus, Bullseye? Have you been hitting that cowbell too much? Also, Christopher Walken has a fever and only you can cure it...
-
Only except that would expose the game's friendly fire problem a little too much. Yeah, I'd agree with that and I'm kinda glad you brought it up. There's just always that chance and, as I recall, Ross was not aware the female black-op assassins actually had a stealth-camouflage feature on Hard difficulty, which allows them to turn partially transparent when they're fighting, and it can even stay in a particular translucent state when they're dead. Sort of ironic when Freeman says: "They're probably already gone, disappeared into smoke... Oh, nope." And you're name is GordonFreeman! Honesty, I expected better!
-
I know, I'm as crazy about this stuff as you are, except for pretty much everything I can get my hands on from Valve in general. If you have any massive collections of conceptual art or source engine documents or old beta sound files, I'd love to hear from you. I thought that "alternate ending" was still in the game when you decline his offer? Or else it must be in the old WON version, that was a scary thing to see at the time. Of course, great job on being such a fantastic comedian and director, Ross! I can't wait to see the episode in HD, just because I can now and have never seen it that way before.
-
NO THAT'S OKAY, I don't really want to talk about it anymore! Sorry I brought it up! Oh, cool. That's why I wouldn't have recognized it; it's your own unique generated face. Pretty neat result, I appreciate the information.

Your sizzling eggs confuse me. Wow, what a tough friend. I've heard of 80 stab wounded survivors before, it really makes you appreciate your rib cage. If only we had an exoskeleton, or more H.E.V. suits lying around. I definitely want to get a kevlar vest one day just because they look and feel cool.
