  1. When I translated I got: I DONT GIVE A SHIT HONESTLY. MAIL ME ANYTHING [email protected] I think a few of you are mixing your I's with your E's, or S's with H's. It's tricky because the pixels in some places are slightly wider for the same letters. The last one was the hardest part, mainly because I didn't know there was a morse code for @.
  2. Yeah same, I hope we didn't miss out on any other interesting ones.
  3. Okay, Bullseye, let us begin anew with this page, hopefully... Hahaha! Dude, that's awesome! I would consider those official participants, because that death pose is hilarious. Wow, that was good, I didn't know "woman" was part of the category you could choose from. Ahah, dude I think you should enter that in, it genuinely made me laugh. It's something simple enough, random enough yet self-explanatory enough. Hahaha! I must admit I really laughed at these later images, those characters have such a perfect gesture. Okay, for real, I think most of these will be the winners or front runner-ups. That's real funny, there are plenty others with great angles and colouring and general scenery, but for having something very self-contained in its context and message, this is an exemplary entry. I think you've all done awesomely. Well normally I don't do these sorta things, but I've wanted Uncanny Valley for a while and I think my siblings would enjoy it. Here are my three old shots, all Valve games, All real in-game, no cheats, no exploits, no staging, no photoshop. Even the multiplayer ones: ------------------------------------------------- Half-Life 2: Half-Life 2 Left 4 Dead: ------------------------------------------------- And some extra, not part of the contest, others thought were worth showing: Half-Life 2: Left 4 Dead: Counter-Strike GO: Dishonoured: Dishonoured: Honestly it's hard to know what's funny or not. Is humour the best thing? What am I really trying to accomplish? I'm over-thinking again. [EDIT]: DANGIT I'M LATE! I GOT THE TIME CONVERSION WRONG BY ONE HOUR! I'M 54 MINUTES PAST, NOT 6 MINUTES AHEAD!
  4. Hey dude, your last link is the same as the second.
  5. Cool, the new title sequence is the most unique yet! But I can hardly believe this game. That's its actual title? Does that guy in the prequel really throw up? I can never look at Bob the Builder the same again. This is awesome.
  6. Wow, that's pretty generous, I couldn't afford that (though mainly because of currency conversion). You're awesome, man!
  7. This thread, all the comments here and on the video, and especially the video itself make me quite happy today.
  8. Oh, my bad. I meant Jupiter Ascending all this time, in 3D!
  9. Speaking of which, did somebody enjoy their birthday movie? IN 3D!? Umm...I didn't get this one blame it on a foreign language You mean you didn't get the movie or you didn't understand what my comment was referring to? If it's the former, don't worry, I probably wouldn't get it either.
  10. Speaking of which, did somebody enjoy their birthday movie? IN 3D!?
  11. Wow, that actually is pretty impressive.
  12. Hey man, sorry for taking so long. Well I have access to most of the Freeman's Mind series, but I'm missing a couple episodes and unfortunately that includes numbers 1 to 3. So Ross is probably the only one in the world who still keeps them stored somewhere, I think you'd have to email him directly and request those game tracks for the first three episodes. Maybe even put a link back to this thread for a reference. Anyway, I haven't heard from him in a while but I don't think he'd mind if I shared these files. These are the sound effects and original game recording tracks for Episode 4 to 10: http://www.4shared.com/rar/-gKgfnb7ba/fm_sfx_episodes_4-10.html I'll be sure to upload the later episodes once I have the bandwidth space. If you really plan to go through each one with your own Thai dub, first of all I commend you greatly for supporting your audience and I wish you the best, but keep in mind it may take a while to get through the series and I hope you don't strain your voice in the process. Anyway, if you're up to the challenge, please remember to credit Ross Scott and Accursed Farms in Thai. And link the episodes back here if you get a chance! I'll probably change the file extension to .MP3 for the next load of episodes, because the .WAV sizes accumulate really fast. Good luck, Space Hunter!
  13. WOo0h, this should be interesting, especially if you're tipsy! I'd love to have a look when I get some time. How does Poland get so hot?
  14. Hmm, it seems to me women are much better in general at staying positive headed compared to men. (I'm not saying you're a woman, Rarity) Not sure what it is about guys that makes 'em so inadequate in this regard. At least it seems this way from my experience, I've no idea if it's statistically true.
  15. Hmm, not only do you look like my sister Joy, but she just got her own artist's mannequin for her last birthday... Veery suspicious if you ask me... I'd quite like to have a detailed muscle-sculptured version similar to this: Dude, that is freakin' beautiful. Seriously, what you've done especially with that cross and T-shirt... Unbelievable. Why don't I see that sort of thing more often? That's just Boss, man. The whole look... Boss. What is Ash Wednesday Mass?
  16. Hey there, I meant to respond to this earlier in the year. For Night Hal 1, Ross released all his voice tracks for the older episodes back in March of 2014 for his Fundraiser Update: http://www.accursedfarms.com/fundraiser-update/ The download link itself is here: http://www.accursedfarms.com/downloads/other/FM_voice_tracks.zip I believe it covers every episode from #0 to #54. I can't remember if he ever released the later ones, I didn't find it in my search anyway. He also mentioned at the time: "These are in high quality MP3s. If somebody REALLY wants the original WAVs, I can send them, though they were almost a GB then using maximum 7z compression." - viewtopic.php?p=205744#p205744 Space Hunter M, are you still interested in the actual separated sound effect tracks? If so, I may be able to help you out there. I can't right now since my internet connectivity is shot, but let me know if you're still interested.

You know that's really not bad at all, I'd love to see more. Did anyone else notice a flash of text at the end? "hey ross if you ever, you know, if you ever want to continue the series you -uh have my contact information so yeah see you soon?" It's nice to know there's still so much interest.
  18. Took me a minute to recognize you, Princess. This sounds like the same concern as before, but I wouldn't worry too much. Just to clarify though, while it may have seemed like a good idea to have two sound editors working together for the rest of the series, it hasn't really turned out that way. Cornwaffle is incredibly fast, much more than I am capable of, but there are some tough episodes ahead. I can't say how things are progressing because it's mainly Ross and Cornwaffle in the production now. I'm just letting you know that it's not as simple as it may look from the blog, adding more people could complicate things, but it doesn't mean Ross isn't ahead of the show. There's just a lot involved before releasing an episode, and we like to use the time we have. A giant testicle on a big armored spider monster spawns them. Or a giant tentacle?
  19. Haha, I would love to do that. It would probably be a lot easier to mix the episodes that way. I could be like the Nihilanth, speaking to Freeman in haunting telepathy throughout the series! Scott D. Betson, you're awesome, dude. Thanks a lot for the flattering kind words. You may like some of the newer video game trailers that were recorded and released in 60FPS HD, though it means their filesize is twice as large. They're actually very hard to find most of the time. http://www.gamersyde.com/ is a good place to go if you're looking for a collection. I found the site when trying out the very huge Metal Gear Solid V trailer, which they actually received from the Konami game producers themselves, since it wasn't released anywhere else. I guess it's too large to officially host.
  20. Don't be discouraged, kingkolton, we love to see people interested in contributing. I don't use subtitles myself, but I appreciate that both you guys take the time and effort to produce them, even if it's in your own ways. Appreciated, danielsangeo. Haha, that was my first thought as well. I'm pretty sure some of my playthroughs of the game never used his initial lines though, maybe it was a bug? When I play now though, he pretty much says something at every starting portal/chapter sequence. Yeah, he really did. Those were some pretty neat alien effects and great movement sounds. There was a bit of confusion at the time over who would end up doing the final mix, since we both had our own versions (my fault for disappearing) and it looks like his one deservedly made it through. I don't know if you're here, Cornwaffle, but great work dude! That's a good question. Vedad made a post about it in the forums and we kept meaning to try implementing it in the series. I remember bringing it up again with Ross right before he recorded the episode, since Xen was a more appropriate place to start, but I don't think we managed to get it included, so I'm as confused as you are. Still, at least Vedad has credit for creating his really useful animation script. Thanks to you, too, Vedad dude!
  21. You are almost completely right, except that Ross is efficient enough to send the footage to the editor the moment it's recorded, so that he can work on the main sound effects while Ross is still recording the rest of the dialogue. Sometimes the sound is finished before the main dialogue, unfortunately 90% of the time it is not... Oh man, I really appreciate your concern, but I am thankfully not dead. I may need to visit a doctor though because I heard that getting diesel or hydraulic oil in open cuts on your skin can kill you if it gets in the blood stream. Point is, I just felt close to the void because of a killer of a busy week, but I'm totally fine now and am getting back to mixing. I couldn't find the time to message Ross, so he was left stranded with no idea of when I'd be back. I didn't mean to cause a stir among you guys, so I thought I should say something and let you know it's okay. Also, thanks so much for your compliment. I promise you I did not forget this. I even planned my own online mini-event around the anniversary, but there was just no time to fit it in. It would have been a really nice surprise and I'm sorry I couldn't make it. At least the next episode isn't far off now.
  22. Well come on, I'm assuming you've seen Candyman. Despite being on my list for years, I only watched it this week. It may not be incredibly terrifying, but it does what most horror movies should be better at doing.
  23. Wow, I would love to read all of this now but I have little time. I forgot to ask, did anyone else hear Shepard's line as "Redrum!"? That was my initial impression. I just tested it with the GoldSrc game. It's the exact same time from when Freeman walks through the door to the time the portal opens. What difficulty did you try it on? I have both games but I'm too lazy to count it myself. Haha, well timed. While it's an age-old great site with well laid out and concise material, I would just like to point out that not all of it is officially confirmed and that the writer has simply made up many smaller details about the story and its place on the timeline that are not known to be true. Yeah, that sucks big time. It seemed like quite a good operation you were having, but then such bad luck with the timing.
  24. Haha, poor Bullseye. Very true. Pure genius. Hey, that's mean. I don't think the "Gravity" will be hitting him very hard on Xen. Jokes aside, are you referring to Freeman eventually becoming the actual hero that gamers have always imagined him to be? I once thought of this myself. But then I realized: Haha, of course not! Ahem, looks like somebody was confusing the later sequels / books / writer's lore with what we know of the current game in question... I don't really have time to read up on the fuller posts about this at the moment, but I just wanted to point out this little line I noticed. It's easy to apply the things we know now, and not to remember how the events transpired, in a few days, within their own context. I never planned on doing that because I thought it was too predictable and didn't add to the humor too much. My original plan was to have him say something crazier like "gimme some tacos!" or "rubber jump pants!" But the timing for him ended up being too short because of everything going on in the scene. It got drowned out a bit by everything else going on, but there wasn't any good way to make it more audible without making it sound like he was standing right next to Freeman. Yeah, and didn't you have some scheduling / communication problems with Robin by the time you needed his recordings? I don't know what really happened, but I was starting to worry that you had to scrap the original plan and use a completely different sound clip. What I quite like about the final result though is how similar sounding "Backrubs!" plays out like "Big Orange". Also, that surprise you left for us at the end: Fucking Awesome. I really didn't expect that.
  25. Yeah, I see what you mean about showing content to an audience. That's sort of become a hobby of mine and, while I really don't mind hearing cussing myself, it can be a factor in whether or not I will show something to a certain group of other people. This is not often though, and in the case of Freeman's Mind, I suppose you would also have to consider the general screams and violence in Half-Life and the fact that he shoots unarmed scientists before you worry too much about language. But then cultures have different preferences and sensibilities, so I can respect your point of view.
