Yep, this pretty much wins.

I actually think Freeman's Fear is one that could do with a slightly altered point of view. At least it's the only one I know of, and I mean the 'first' Freeman's Fear from 2007 or 2008 or something some such. Just think to distance yourself more: He's aware it's not funny, he's aware the volume is super loud and he's trying to make it as lame, painful, sharp and meaningless as possible, which is where he hopes to get some kicks. I mean, it's mainly when compared to by any other common Mind series that you can see the differing goals. Eh, it's no use; I'm probably the only one who chuckles at his screaming. Maybe because I've had first-hand experience with non-gamers actually being freaked out by a horror sequence and subsequently ending up yelling at the screen.

Oh, man... you can hear children watching musical television in the background. This thing hits the young hard, man.
-
Oh, how I would die by that.

Nope, but I can't even seem to navigate anywhere on YouTube anymore, not without it screaming more ads in my face wherever I go. Indeed, him chuckling at the end with the soldiers is just a very nice touch.

Testing Motion Blur Processing and Animated Cameras
Otto replied to Master Chris's topic in Machinima in general
Wow, man. That looks super sweet smooth. I wish more people used as much detail as you do. I don't seem to notice any faults it it, though. It looks like it blurred everything that was high-speed to me. -
Yeah, whether you like Das Bo Schitt or not, he is damn clever with setting up a shot. I expect we'll be hearing about this on the Blog soon enough.
-
And he hasn't even worked at Aperture.

AWESOME!

Yeah, I remember in the Black Mesa: Source forums (years ago) when they were trying to make up some good explanation for getting Freeman to use a weapon, talking to guards, or falling off a high ledge. I can think of some likely scenarios involving experimental weapons testing, getting familiar with the code of security (for talking to the guards), and testing the suit on high impact (for the ledge), but the forum thread suggested an earthquake to have broken the ladder, forcing Freeman only one way down.Really, it's quite hard to disguise the purpose of the course. There's a lot of room for mocking. Interesting, I'll go see that.

Does the idle animation for the MP5 annoy anyone else?
Otto replied to Arby's topic in Freeman's Mind
Yeah, it always looked to me like he (Gordon) was kind of resting his arms for a second. Maybe checking the gear on his belt and suit, making sure everything's still there. When Ross talks over it, it seems like he's halted for a second in confusion, lowering the gun a bit while contemplating something. -
Oh yeah, I forgot Freeman took the course around an hour before the game. I don't actually think Ross is too worried about the consistency of it all though. Heh, yeah, or he's so bad at it that he needs to keep training.

If it's the original Half-Life 1 on CD, you'll need to put the CD in the drive, I believe. You can also put in any music CD and it'll play it with the game. That's why one my first experiences of Half-life had the Opposing Force expansion music. It fit dang well, I say. Anyway, it should play the music automatically otherwise.

You involved your father? Admirable work, boy.

Interesting choice of keywords. Yeah, I'd agree, it's exactly like a Freeman's Mind layout as opposed to one with many bars as seen in 'The Tunnel'. Maybe Ross got exclusive access to Black Mesa: Source!?
-
Heh, yeah, it was pretty empty. I didn't even know other Minders visited here until reading this. The discussions are interesting, it's kind of like having extra Ross Scott'ers to fill in the gap for us. I'm grateful.

33 & 34 Green?! It's a sign of the apocalypse!

You guys are funny. -
33 & 34 Green?! It's a sign of the apocalypse!
Otto replied to GameGodOfAll's topic in Freeman's Mind
And 34 was supposed to be completed days ago, with the episode after to be finished around today. So even though Machinima.com got a delayed release, they still seem locked in traffic. I don't want to put all the blame on Machinima, though. Maybe some of their servers got stuffed up by a squirrel getting caught between power lines. -
I must concur. This is getting a bit ridiculous. Lord knows I'm slow as a bloody snail when it comes to things, but uploading isn't days of complication, is it?
-
Um, I am neither, and none of the above. I don't have any views on other people, they're fine as long as they don't bother me. Just personally, I like to hide and be left alone. I'm actually scared the hell out of that kind of thing, of any sort. Hmm, maybe I saw something I wasn't suppose to when I was a youngster that completely put me off the whole idea for life. Guess my child mindset never changed. Hmm, where are you from?

Speaking of which, may I ask that Ross or anyone else in the possession of the original image file to upload it? And may I also ask what font is used in the title? It's incredibly close to Trebuchet MS, but the apostrophe is not matched with any normal font I have.

In which episodes what was in? And yeah, it looks like I spoke way, way too soon. There now appears to be three Wikipedia Articles on it: http://halflifemachinima.wikia.com/wiki/Gordon_Freeman_%28Freeman%27s_Mind%29 http://halflifemachinima.wikia.com/wiki/Freeman%27s_Mind http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeman%27s_Mind bam, Bam, BAM!

Dang, he wasn't in it? And yeah, I can't say more either. Really? That is Awesome. I hope it becomes more apparent. Freeman studied in Austria anyway, so he could have picked up a central European accent during his time. It just, you know, took a while to develop in his mind. You're right, I apologise for bringing it up. I shall delve into skepticism no more. This, too, I am curious to know. Me? Well, thanks, but don't thank me. Ross is doing the episodes. And it's good to hear from you too, J.C. (should I call you J.C.?) And wow, have you noticed how spaced out these quotes are?
-
What spot? The blank space at the bottom right? You must wait for more episodes.

Heh, well there already is a Wikipedia article on Freeman's Mind, which I just found today in much surprise, so it obviously won't be as in-depth as you described but it's probably the best you're gonna get. Even if there's enough viewers to bother expanding it any more than it is, it's probably best to keep one wiki on it.
