  1. I find such complaints funny because the servers going down is not the fault of the console itself, just people hacking the service, so selling the console achieves nothing. I do find myself lucky to be a PC gamer at times since it gives me more options if something like Steam goes down. At least that has an offline mode. The thing is, when a service like Xbox live Or PSN goes down, it is equivalent to our ISP going down. So basically, the main attractions of a console, ie Multiplayer shooters, are now unplayable. I would hazard a guess that the people who complain are people who send most of their time playing Call of Duty or whatever Halo game is out right now. So to them, the console is just a brick. I am happy I can enjoy single player games.
  2. Getting something to eat. My eating habits are so screwed up since I left home. I get sick of the dining hall's measl too easily. Pfft, First World white male middle class problems, I guess.
  3. Both my parents worked full-time when I was a kid which left me to my own devices after I got home from school. My dad ended up doing most of the cooking as he got home earlier, but most of the cleaning was left to my mom. Originally, my mom was a stay at home mother but started working from home off an old-ass DOS for a shipping company. I vaguely remember this being around when I was two as I always wondered why I couldn't play Tyrian on it where I could with the family computer. She eventually started working part time into full time when I went into school. I suppose this is pretty traditional.

Hot damn. My first experience with Windows Powershell was not a good one. The labs in my Workstation and Server course require me to do the same things I did using GUI except with Powershell. Powershell isn't very user friendly, at least when the text I'm using makes no effort to try to teach me the thing I needed to do. I eventually figured it out by using Microsoft's website, i think. But I spent an extra 45 minutes trying to figure out its command syntax and then trouble shooting why the commands weren't working. Pfft. Remember: get-help Not: help
  5. Buy a goat. You know, my family has actually legit thought about buying a goat. The only thing stopping us is our dog would hate it. You think so? ... Get a fainting goat.

  7. So I was sat, thinking about the legacy of videos that Ross has made in the Half-Life universe. And it made me miss Civil Protection deeply. CP is the great tale of two 'buddy' cops who have to make it through their shifts all the while dealing with how the force is handled and dealing with each other. But I always felt like something was missing from the series. There wasn't really much of an external conflict that Mike and Dave had to deal with. The closest we ever came to that was the houndeye who blasted the two and the coworkers that stole Mike's lunch. And this is why I think there is a monumental opportunity to create the ultimate plot line as Ross is currently in between series. Ross said that he wasn't necessarily going to be making Freeman's Mind in the near future. But he could hypothetically, continue Freeman's Mind with out actually making any more FM. He could continue the story through Dave and Mike and have them be put in situations because of Freeman's actions. Maybe even have them go awol in a quest for revenge after Freeman wronged them somehow like cancelling some talent show that they'd been practicing for or something I don't know. That seems like something Mike would do and Dave would probably go along with it. Dave and Mike have been in some pretty dire situations already (namely the Tunnel, being beaten to a pulp by fast zombies as well as serious impact injuries from trains, cars and houndeyes) and they have even survived some of them. So it would make a little bit of sense that they'd be able to follow Freeman and never actually find him, always being a couple steps behind him. It think that it would be interesting to hear these wayward metro cops take on what Gordon goes through in the Half-life 2 campaign. Though perhaps that doesn't lend itself to the CP format. There would be a lot of skirting around danger, avoiding rebel soldiers, maybe even some alternate routes that allow them to get ahead of Freeman only to be tied up in some event that allows him to get past. I think this idea has some merit. But this series would be a huge amount of work for Ross, I would imagine. I remember Ross's gripes about SDK in many of his blog posts, so this is likely an idea that will never see fruition. Not to discredit him, of course. I'm just saying that seems like it would be a huge project.
  8. Well, I've always been here. You guys just haven't been believing hard enough. Funny you should bring that up. I've actually posted a link to that story a couple of times in this thread previously so I think it is hilarious that you managed to find it through the recently updated tab on FimFiction. Like seriously. That's feels like something that never should have happened. Then again, whenever i posted the link my post was immediately buried by people posting pictures of Fluttershy and more people saying "DAWWW" or "HNNNG." I suppose that's one of the reasons I just kind of stopped posting. I didn't really feel like I had that much to add to any conversations or that people didn't really care about what I had to say. Nah, that's crazy. Crazy and egocentric. And I am neither of those things. Anyways, nice to talk to you guys again. See you next year.
  9. Soon. Ahem. Haven't watched any of season 4 yet, besides the first 3 episodes. Plan to, but haven't tried very hard since they're not on Youtube any more. At least that I know of. #EvilTwilight2015 #DiscordIsStillSecretlyEvil #IronicHashtagIsJustAsBadAsRegularHashtag
  10. I just finished my last day at my place of employment for my Senior Year of High School. Now I am college bound and looking for places to work there... So I wanted to ask: How were your experiences at the job you worked during High School(or your first job)? Personally, I worked 2 jobs my senior year. My first was being a cook at a local fast food chain called Chiips. This was the job I just finished. Overall it was a positive experience. I liked every one of my co-workers and my managers were killer. Had lots of fun there. My second job, which I'm still working, was a paid internship provided through the Youth Apprenticeship Program at my school. The program got me a job at my High Schools IT Department. Basically, I just ran around to all the elementary schools in my district and fixed a bunch of computers. Still, I loved every second of it. All my co-workers were great and it felt like I had been working there for years towards the end of it. I guess I lucked out when it came to my employments... How bout you guys?
  11. Wow, people either wanted HD a lot... Or a lot of people really love you, Ross. Probably both actually. Well, congrats on your secured income for the near future. Can't wait to see what comes from it.
