I enjoyed the single-player campaigns of both Forged Alliance and Starcraft 2, consider them vouched for. With regards to you liking Graphic Adventure Games, would this include point-and-click games like Day of the Tentacle? If so, have you played any of Yahtzee's Chzu games? They're rather good... With regards to games with an 'adult' theme, have you ever played Max Payne?

I believe Half-Life 2 is only set around ten years after the first game. I have no idea how Freeman meeting Chell might work (both seem to be silent protagonists ).
-
Would you care to explain why? Heck, what is this show about? Considering the first post's warning about spoilers for even the first episode, I'm hesitant to just look it up on Wikipedia in case of spoilers.

Heh, I introduced myself in the 'Where are you from' thread so I'll just quote that. And I do of course enjoy Freeman's Mind and Civil Protection.

I'm pretty sure he means the account name to add someone as a friend, however it would probably be safer to have people simply link to their Steam profiles for friend adding, rather than posting their account usernames.

Who knows what could happen. I do believe though that Portal 2 is apparently set several hundred years after Portal 1. That might affect things.

Sample mini-reviews of some obscure games
Lord Sinister replied to Ross Scott's topic in Obscure PC Games:
Mission Humanity (RTS): It's an abomination. It is an old strategy game from 2001 I think, but the graphics look far older. There is no Options or Settings button on the main menu, which made me intially believe that the screen resolution would not go above 800x600. However I later discovered that you could access an Options menu, but only from within playing the game itself. In there I could change the volume of CD audio, Sounds, and whether I wanted either of the two enabled or not. I could also change the screen resolution (up to 1024x768 I think). There's no real story to speak of, although there is an intro video (there's no dialog though, but from what I can gather, it's literally 'we are humans and they are aliens, and we must kill'). There's no story told through the game either. There is a tutorial of sorts, but it doesn't explain fundamentals like travelling to other planets (see below). I actually searched out for and purchased this game from Ebay on purpose not too long ago, having borrowed it from a friend years ago. I remembered it being as hard as nails, and it is. It's filled with numbers (Extract, Iron, Carbon and Titanium). You build your base from a main landing craft, and conquer the particular planet you are on, and then fly on to the next (and the next and the next and the next...). To fly to a planet takes resources just like building a base. In addition, the resources you collect from one planet are not simply stored on the ship (it's not clear where they are stored). This means that when you fly to another planet, you MUST manually store some resources on your ship. Otherwise you will fly to the next planet and not be able to return. That's it, game over (although the game doesn't tell you that). You can access your previous planet, but you cannot expand from it, only your main ship can travel between worlds. You can't do anything at this point, you simply have to restart. On the second world I believe it is, once you have destroyed the entire enemy presence on the planet, it says something along the lines of 'Enemy troops landing' or some such. Suddenly the world is FILLED with enemy soldiers. My initial army was enough to destroy the base before, but not this larger army of enemy units. There was no prior warning, and I lost. I gave up at that point, but I might try it again in future. Here's the ship stuck on the world it cannot escape from: -

If you want to group it by mood, I'd just go for having folders called things like 'eerie', 'desperate action', 'dramatic escape', 'small joke' and 'peaceful forest'. Things like that. Then whenever you've got a specific mood for a scene, you just navigate to the folder that best describes the mood. Obviously you'd need a large library of music for all this or you'd just have an army of empty folders...

Hello, I'm Lord Sinister. From England. I enjoy PC gaming and so on, and also try to play piano and do real work when I'm not being lazy. Wait, what!? Ha, I remember after I saw the film I made my dad promise that he would take me there one day, to see the dinosaurs. What?! I was young! You wanted to go there even after you saw almost everyone get eaten by the dinosaurs?

Alchohol 52% is the free version of Alcohol, which might be able to do what you ask, but I do not know for certain. http://www.free-downloads.net/programs/Alcohol_52__Free_Edition

I think there's a couple of bits of concept art for Episode 3 out there....other than that, nout. Portal 2 though...now that looks good. I'd heard it was coming out in April as well, but delays are always likely. The homepage for Portal 2 just says April 2011, whilst the Wikipedia page for Portal 2 says that it's due on April 22nd (for the EU).

Makes sense, I was only curious as some people seem to have a post count and others do not, so it seemed a bit strange.

Are smiles and BBCode supposed to be disabled? EDIT: And I seem to have 0 posts. O_o
