  1. Thank you for explaining. I might try to watch the anime when I get the chance.
  2. The site might not like it being directly linked to. On this forum page, I think you need to hit ctrl+f5, it'll make your browser redownload all the elements on the page. Does the image still appear then? If it doesn't, I'd advise putting the image up on somewhere like imageshack.us and linking to that instead.
  3. I just like his general insane nature. His reaction to various things. Frankly I've enjoyed the entire series, although I did find Episode 10.5 in particular quite amusing...
  4. Are you kidding? He did the music for the Pirates of the Carribean films and the new Batman films! He's a great composer in my opinion.
  5. I've played Halo 1 in single player on the PC, and got Halo 2 fairly recently to play more of the single player campaign. Unfortuantely, whilst my copy of Halo 2 is a normal boxed copy, my copy of the original Halo was from a friend, and I can't for the life of me find a new legit copy online (for a reasonable price, it's an old game) that ships to the UK. If anyone knows of anywhere that does I'd appreciate knowing, it's worth my money if I can find it.
  6. The one I've played the most was Call of Duty: World at War, with friends, on the zombie gamemode. It was good crazy fun. I also think I played the original Call of Duty a while back but never completed it. That's about it.
  7. I remember playing Total Annihilation years ago with my brother. It is indeed a great game, a forgotten classic. Also, your image doesn't seem to load for me on this page.
  8. You forgot about the music and the atmosphere the game created! But yes, the sequel doesn't appear to be canceled. If we're lucky, we may hear more about it following the release of Battlefield 3.
  9. Actually I was under the impression that it was cloud computing that was up and coming, rather than home computers. I could be wrong though...
  10. I have never created a Machinima, but dang, I do feel sorry for you. All that work...
  11. Weak on story, there was pretty much NO story. As for the music, I honestly can't remember. I'll dig out the disc and maybe try and upload some of it to Youtube. You can't buy this game anymore except possibly off Ebay so I think it's okay to do that...
  12. I thought they said there would not be another Left 4 Dead game for at least three years after the release of Left 4 Dead 2.
  13. Who knows what could happen. I do believe though that Portal 2 is apparently set several hundred years after Portal 1. That might affect things. I think your a bit wrong with those years. I think its only like 5-10 years between P1 and P2. Because think about main char, how could she survive 100 years ? humans dont live that long. She was kept in stasis. It was in the Gameinformer article on Portal 2.
  14. There's a section for mod development, but not a section for discussing mods themselves. I think it might be an idea to have a separate section for mods from general game discussion.
  15. True, this is all mere speculation, however it is highly improbable that it will be a 'casual Pong-clone'.
  16. That's a matter of perspective. For those interested though, I have managed to find a slightly larger version. http://pds13.egloos.com/pds/200906/12/31/b0052831_4a324c74079e7.jpg
  17. Of all the webcomics I have heard of or seen, I have probably read XKCD the most. I have found it to be quite amusing sometimes.
  18. I agree with you. Civil Protection wouldn't be as enjoyable if you didn't have tons of YouTube crap to compare it to. Really? I found it enjoyable as its own entity without needing to make comparisons. I suppose it's all a matter of perception really...
  19. Just a speculation, though. Nothing really big is known about episode 3. Valve really makes it top secret It's what they do. When they decide to release information about it, we'll all know.
  20. I had to squint a bit to realise that was a Portal-related avatar.
  21. I've not noticed any Portal avatars yet. Still, on a forum with a lot of users, it's more than likely that some avatars are going to be from the same media, especially if that media is popular like the Half-Life franchise.
  22. Battlefield 3 is another game that's missing from the list that should be pretty good. Media is starting to roll out for it, just single-player footage right now though, but the engine sounds great (much destructability, great lighting and particle effects, etc). The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as well, that's looking really good...
  23. forget max payne man, if you want adult, go for manhunt 2 To my knowledge, Manhunt 2 is fairly mindless. Max Payne had a great storyline, a very noir atmosphere...and a great music theme. Admittedly though, I don't know much about the Manhunt series (other than that they have been quite controversial, but that doesn't really bother me).
  24. I get this as well. Sometimes I'll be playing games, but other times I'll just be sitting here at my desk...thinking I should be sleeping, yet for some reason just sitting here... With regards to myself, I'm fine, it's 11am, and I'm going to be off to University in less than an hour.
  25. I'm not entirely sure there's any real indication as to when Portal is set. You never really see anything that can give the player a good idea as to what year it is. I could be wrong though.
