No no, you should post your new question in a new post, not edit the old one to change its content like that, as it just makes things confusing for people reading the thread if they haven't quoted the original post (which I fortunately have in this case). Anyway, Garry's Mod easily wins out in terms of modability, but that's not really something which should be compared here as Minecraft isn't about different gamemodes and addons. So I'll instead draw comparisons at the basics. With Garry's Mod you can construct contraptions and things that do things in the map, but the map/world itself is static. Minecraft's world is not; there are dynamically spawning NPCs, random tree placement, biomes, recently added weather, etc. In addition the world itself is of infinite size (well relatively, provided your system resources can handle it if you went for an insane distance). With Garry's Mod you spawn what you need as you want to build it. With Minecraft you have to work for your creations. You have to mine the resources to build the tools to mine further resources to construct what you wish (such as a dwelling to sleep the night). Furthermore, along with standard harmless NPCs, at night monsters come. You can fight them, or you can hide and wait for daylight (although these can be turned off by changing the difficulty if you wish to build in peace at night). Garry's Mod wins out in terms of physics, but Minecraft's retro style make highly realistic physics generally unnecessary. Creations for Garry's Mod can be much more complex than Minecraft's due to its physics and also due to the fact that Minecraft is limited by its block based gameplay when compared to Garry's Mod, however in general I would say that Minecraft's block nature it not really a limitation once you've experienced it. It's part of what makes the game nice. Anyway, it occurs to me that there's rather a lot to compare, is there anything in particular you want compared? EDIT: It would seem there is now a demo. You can make infinite new worlds, but can only spend a maximum of 90 minutes on each one before it locks. http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/04/19/download-the-minecraft-demo/ http://dl.pcgamer.com/minecraft_pcgdemo.exe

TODAY SKYNET BECOMES AWARE AND TAKES OVER THE WORLD

I believe it is due to the production team for Terminator: Salvation mistaking the TV series for being canon, resulting in coltan featuring in the film. Now that it's in the film, I believe it is canon. I could be wrong though. Source: http://terminator.wikia.com/wiki/Coltan

Because in reality he is made out of coltan, he doesn't need them. At least, not anymore... I thought he was made out of metal... oh wait, that's the Terminator... Coltan is the metal the terminators are made out of, at least according to Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I enjoyed this game. It has excellent dialogue. -

Humans over other animals

But to challenge Your thinking, I believe it is as we are herbivores so technically we could also survive and live with nature by eating meat only once, twice a month... no need to eat a lot of meat :/ If memory serves, historical evidence suggests we and our ancestors have been omnivores for a pretty long time. However I cannot comment on the frequency of meat eating. This is where good research really is needed to further this point of discussion. We should probably all do some reading. -

I'm assuming that your friend's boss is also in Australia (based on your forum location saying Australia). Are there none of those 'no win no fee' lawyers in Australia? I thought those people were everywhere. Either way, it sucks, can't she just go to the police? I'm sure that lack of payment pretty much counts as theft. I don't really know anything about legal processes anywhere, but surely through some sort of legal process she can get some money back? -
Well, I could put it this way, why would you play Garry's Mod? Minecraft is very simply sandbox game world, where your purpose is simply to mine and build things. It's only limited as far as your imagination is concerned. As for using Valve's Hammer editor instead of Minecraft...they're not the same thing, I wouldn't compare them. Music creation for Minecraft is hardly a main part of the game, it's a side thing you can do where you have to build blocks that make notes. Again, you cannot really compare this to flstudio. Finally, Sim City is a top-down management game. Whilst you can shape the world around you, it's nothing like how things work in Minecraft. I cannot comment on Runescape as I have not played it, I only know it to be a top-down browser-based MMORPG. Does this help?

Humans over other animals

Dude that purple text is pretty hard to read on the dark forum background! "Individual hunting" isn't really possible considering our population numbers now. Not unless it involved killing and eating each other, and I personally would consider this to be a step back in terms of social evolution. -
Portal 2 [SPOILER FREE]

Moved to the Valve games section. I got a free copy on Steam for getting all 36 potatoes. -
It is quite the retro-looking game, and the best thing is it doesn't count against it at all. I've never felt it needed to have superior graphics, the ones it has give it its own sense of charm, and are also perfectly adequate at representing the game itself.

Oh here we go, "You call that old, why back in my day..."
-
Oh it is, it is....in fact, it's TOO good. You can lose your life to it if you're not careful.

It is quite fun. In multiplayer I can indulge in my lust to construct giant looming pyramids that tower over the surrounding landscape.

I've been using Chrome of late, but had Firefox open in the background just in case. Anyway, I was having an issue downloading something with Chrome so I thought I'd use Firefox. I alt-tabbed back to Firefox and created a new tab, and then it froze. There was nothing I could do to get it out of it, so I loaded the task manager. Firefox 4 was using an insane 2GB memory. I think someone said to me it might be an addon, but I really don't have virtually any addons beyond Noscript and Adblock.

I too would like to do this, I believe the best way to encourage lucid dreaming is by first increasing dream recall. I did this a bit but then stopped, but basically I kept a pad of lined paper by my bed, and when I woke up I'd write down everything I remembered dreaming about in as much detail as I could. Not entirely sure how to go on from there to lucid dreaming though.

My copy was dispatched yesterday.

It works for some but by far not all. Well each time an advert that comes up that isn't blocked for Youtube, you view the elements in the page and block the ad element (the URL is usually obvious).
-
I've taken care of it. That's the second one I've banned since the new measures to block them were put in place. I hope they're not adapting...
-
That's a ridiculous length for a Youtube advert. I believe Adblock Plus can block them.
