I just googled the patch name you mentioned before I removed it. Did you try this on your legitimate copy with Steam? Depending on what it modified, there's a distinct possibility you could be VAC banned, as despite the Store page not saying anything, the console mentions that it runs VAC (in both single-player and multiplayer). Hopefully that won't happen. Anyway, did you try all the suggestions in the above posts?

Amnesia is damned scary. Dead Space was pretty scary too, but as with all these things I fight my way through regardless. It's the only way. To directly answer the original post's question though, the answer is none.

My case is pretty small (and was around £13), and I was just able to squeeze in an ATI HD6850. That cost me around £140 I believe. Chances are you could probably grab that or a slightly less powerful HD6X series with your money. I'm no expert though. The best I can recommend is read tech review websites, and user reviews on purchase sites and see what people say, things to watch out for etc. Good luck.

People getting angry at Sony is pretty dumb, considering they have said it was an 'external intrusion' which caused the problem in the first place. However I believe I read somewhere that they have now themselves shut down the entire PSN system for security upgrades or something due to the intrusion. Stupid question, but this fixed this issue for me on other source games, have you tried removing all launch options and replacing with -fullscreen ?

Spoilers!!! If you have the slightest idea what that even means you have already been spoiled. Anyone who has seen a Portal 2 trailer would know who he is, and in them he is clearly not a villain. So on reading this thread, it would be spoiled for someone who has seen the trailers but not yet played the game.

I expect that one of the reasons Half-Life 3/Half-Life 2: Episode 3 is taking so long may be that they are conducting some major engine upgrades for Source. Possible Direct X 11 support, who knows. That's what I think anyway, there's no evidence that supports this.

I expect we'll see an announcement for Half-Life 3 / Half-Life 2: Episode 3 either later this year or some time next year. Just a hunch. And I'm sure I read somewhere that Valve said there would be no Left 4 Dead 3 for some time after the release of Left 4 Dead 2. I'll try and find where I read this.

An important thing that I try hard myself to remember is that it's not about what other people have achieved, it's about what I have achieved. Comparing myself to others is a futile gesture, as there will always be someone better at something else than I am, there are no exceptions. The best thing to do is try and work at something you want to work at until you are satisfied with it, not whether it is as good as or better than someone else's thing. Very vague I know but I tried to summarise what could have been many paragraphs in to a single paragraph. Anyway, try to keep positive. There's some nice people on these boards and I'm sure we can help in some way. Would you say motivation is a big problem for you as well?

Which game is he from? It's not a villain as such, at least not a canon one. The AI director is from the Left 4 Dead games. It controls when hoards of infected and special infected attack you, where item placements are, and even (when the map supports it) minor altering of the player path. It also controls the music and some visual effects. Spoilers!!!
