  1. I'm one of the few who apparently (impossibly) survives without drinking coffee.
  2. I was referring to the scores rather than actual practical use. Personally I feel SSDs are currently far too expensive for me to consider spending money on one (or more). Maybe in a year or two if they start reaching decent prices perhaps...
  3. I'm sure someone with an SSD is bound to pop in to this thread at some point and just annihilate all our scores.
  4. I wish slimes were a bit more common.
  5. I don't think it ignores answers so much as clarifies them. I've noticed it may ask a certain/similar question twice if one or more of your other answers may possibly be contradictory. This is most obvious if you answer the question along the lines of 'Is your character real?' with an 'I don't know'. I decided to see if it could correctly guess Herobrine, and it did.
  6. I should probably mention now that I got source and header files to function fine, however any advice on learning C++ etc is great. I don't have any more lectures for a while as it's the Summer holidays, but I'm hoping to teach myself some more stuff over the Summer. Any advice is of course greatly appreciated. A friend of mine recently wrote a python script that could read data off of a web page. I looked in to trying to do this in C++ but didn't get very far, and have now ended up reading some text about programming networking, client-server communication, etc. It's all interesting but rather complicated and beyond anything I've done before (or so it appears). Got any advice for proceeding here? For further knowledge, I code on Windows and value good coding practice where I can, and would ideally like to make stuff that could run on multiple platforms without modification, but after looking in to this whole networking business, it would appear that there are platform specific libraries for each operating system and they do things differently, making that multi-platform aim impossible, at least at my coding level (and without purpose as I've not got any aims to release anything, I'm just trying to learn stuff). To summarise: creating a program in C++ that can read data off a web page would be cool. I'd also like to clarify that I am not after copy-paste solutions and using code I don't understand. I'm much more interested in learning stuff. I have also renamed the topic as the subject has now changed.
  7. The IDE I use is Netbeans. Somewhat annoyingly, despite C++ being an object-orientated programming language, we've not been taught about classes and objects in C++. EDIT: Here's the link I used to read up on code organisation: http://www.gamedev.net/page/resources/_/reference/programming/languages/c-and-c/organizing-code-files-in-c-and-c-r1798
  8. I can play Sniper, Pyro, and Scout good... but Spy? The Spy is an excellent class.
  9. Mine was: Processor: 6.9 Memory (RAM): 6.9 Graphics: 7.3 Gaming graphics: 7.3 Primary hard disk: 5.9 Until I found that my Motherboard had been under-clocking my processor (it's a 2.5Ghz one, but it was running at 2GHz). Setting things right resulted in: Processor: 7.2 Memory (RAM): 7.2 Graphics: 7.7 Gaming graphics: 7.7 Primary hard disk: 5.9
  10. I have to say I've not noticed a lot of PC fanboyism/elitism in the UK version of PC Gamer, aside from it being focused on PC gaming (what with it being PC Gamer and all ).
  11. I think that VoIP communication in an external program will be essential for coordination.
  12. PC Gamer UK, I'm actually subscribed to them. I enjoy reading it.
  13. Some sort of insane coordinated effort would be pretty hilarious if done correctly. Like coordinated uber-trains.
  14. I'm sitting here thinking that I really should have gone to bed four hours ago as it's now 2:17am.
  15. My repeated time-wasting annoys me. I have things I want to do that I should do but I idle my time away. And then it's just another day wasted, yet more time down the drain. This annoys me. I see people who are workaholics, who seem to just work and work and find it easy to be able to knuckle down and do things (not to say that the work itself is easy, merely that they can just sit down and work). Then you have the people who laze around, play video games all day, eat junk food and sleep at odd hours, and are perfectly content with it. Then I have myself, where I end up screwing up my sleep pattern, playing too many video games/watching films/idling time away and not eating healthily, and yet unlike other people who seem content, I do not, my mind screams at me that I really shouldn't be wasting my time. This bothers me. A lot. Still, I try to be productive and try to get things done and learn things. I'm just lazy really. And I despise that aspect of myself. /rant
  16. It's pretty warm and especially humid today.
  17. I put my vote down on Deus Ex: Human Revolution, as I have that game pre-ordered.
  18. Well, that was unexpectedly sudden.
  19. I remember see this years ago, its database must be really huge by now.
  20. If I'm right, I think 2PM PST means you'd be doing it at around 9pm or 10pm GMT. That means I might even be around for some fun.
  21. That many Medics for that one Heavy...must have been insane.
  22. I enjoy playing as a Spy.
  23. Ah, looks like he's 'almost' beginning to remember things.
  24. I get the impression that voting for this person will only bring about a new regime as corrupt as the old confederacy.
  25. I'm just going to step in at this point briefly to brand the above quoted statement as 'nonsense'.
