You throw the jar at enemies and anyone in the AOE takes minicrits. It also puts out fires on friendly players. It also reveals cloaked enemy spies.

Wait, windows message pop-ups are freezing as well? :\ Unrelated to Steam?

I swear this was scheduled for July 30th at 9pm, so I missed it. It didn't send me any notifications either.

Sometimes when I launch a game, Steam appears to lock up. It usually coincides with an update being released, and it locks up temporarily whilst it starts to download stuff, and eventually unfreezes (not necessarily because the download has finished). It's annoying but all I need to do is wait. How long have you left it frozen for? Or do you lose patience and kill it within something like 20 seconds? It might be worth waiting and seeing what happens.

My subscriber copy just arrived. It was a special golden colour and contained an 8-page review of the game. Needless to say, I think my pre-order of the game was quite justified (I pre-ordered it a while ago). Anyone else in the UK on these forums subscribed to PC Gamer who has their copy with the review yet? They described the game as 'A dark, cool and beautiful revival of an incredible game. Smart, substantial, funny, creative, and endlessly entertaining.'

What would be okay for you guys? I'd like to have everyone come if possible. But I don't want to force Axeldeath to pull another all-nighter, even though that's what he's done twice in two weeks. Preferably 9pm-10pm or earlier (London GMT time).

To the best of my knowledge, VAC bans by engine. It's why you have to be especially careful with your account and who you share it with. Sorry.

I also have Hamachi if the port forwarding stuff fails. I much prefer the modern up-to-date version of Minecraft myself. I tried the link to the classic server but it could not connect.

The concept intrigues me and I've seen a few videos. I might get it, but I'll almost certainly wait for some reviews before making a decision.

I got it on offer on Steam a while back but only played the DLC (there's something slightly disconcerting about being pursued by a guy with no eyes). I should probably devote some time to this I think...

We're doing that now. Yesh. Server IP? I could probably set a TF2 server up if I get that new Computer/Internet. I'm looking at an Inspiron 17r with 6 GB ram. For around 600. I would actually prefer an Accursed Farms Garry's Mod server. Now that would be pretty epic, I can only imagine the chaos.

Neither do I, but at least you can see that both versions of the game got decent reviews.

I'm afraid the only solution is to press on regardless. It's a horror game, it's meant to be scary. I'm afraid if you can't handle it, there's not a lot anyone can really do except advise that you play another game.
