One of the things I've never been able to quite understand about Facebook is why larger friend counts seem to matter. I've seen some people with thousands of friends. THOUSANDS. They can't possibly know them all. Hell, I swear I read somewhere a while back that the human brain can only maintain a maximum of something like around 120 social connections with different people. I assume you've tried contacting your ISP to try and find out what the issue is?

I will admit to secretly hoping it was some sort of giant mansion old-style mansion with hidden rooms, passageways and so on. Either way, sounds very impressive. Not everyone can say they've gone and actually built their own home, and made it so that they can pretty much live off their own land.
-
Now THAT'S impressive! What sort of house is it?

...and welcome to the Accursed Farms computer-aided enrichment forum.

I thought I'd heard something about initial media denial of the protests in the US, or saying that police had disbanded them, but I'm not sure that's true. Either way, it appears this is now possibly becoming some sort of global protest. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-15319924 EDIT: Including in London.

Rumours of her demise were evidently greatly exaggerated. Welcome back. :3

Clearly whoever marked it is one of the unenlightened.

Portal 2: Peer Review DLC
Lord Sinister replied to Mes gots its's topic in Valve Games / Valve Stuff
I played through it with a friend, it was a first time for us both which is always the best way to do these co-op puzzles I think. We also tried a few of the challenges. -
Why is Gordon Freeman afraid of muppets?

Hey there's a difference between paper clips and 'edible' paper clips! -
How would you do a Half-Life film?
Lord Sinister replied to Andy8299's topic in Valve Games / Valve Stuff
I found this fan-made trailer to be pretty cool, I'd watch a film like this: Bm5sEaC5tBA -
Well if we're stating our opinions now, Bill seems to be a pretty friendly guy to me.

How can people be scared of beaker!? He's awesome! -
System Shock 2 is very old, getting it running on a modern PC is a bit of a challenge, but there are websites out there that explain how. I got it to run widescreen at my native screen resolution of 1680x1050. And why would playing System Shock 2 make you think anything less of Bioshock? Both are great games (and I enjoyed both)!
-
These occupy Wallstreet protests, I heard there was initially media denial about it in the US?
-
System Shock 2 is a great game, despite its age. Anyone who enjoyed Bioshock should try and find a way to play it. As for Bioshock: Infinite...well I enjoyed the original Bioshock, but I've yet to play the second one, however it doesn't look like the two games (Bioshock 2 and Infinite) are very connected.

Yeah, topic is the Battlefield 3 beta, which I think is all over now. Make another thread to discuss game companies, etc.

Does this bring memorries from HL games?
Lord Sinister replied to akira's topic in Valve Games / Valve Stuff
I thought he was using a harness until he appeared to easily walk past a guy without issues who WAS using a harness... Then again, having never done anything like this myself, maybe these things are designed to work that way. -
It was indeed, but it was also pretty fun to watch.

It does a little. However as I watched the video I was generally thinking 'wow that camera man has GUTS!' -
The beginning of Mars Attacks. The film is a comedy if anyone's interested. A comedy with one of my favourite intros to any film ever. The music and imagery are near perfect. jWDAu3cgYMc

I'm not a fan of Steam support. The ticket I filed received repeated automated replies that clearly demonstrated that the content of my ticket hadn't been read. Nor the subsequent replies. I've had excellent support from Multiplay for my TF2 server though...so far. And the game seems to be 50% off on Steam as part of a mid-week sale. Not sure I'd be willing to pay over £5 for it though. I wasn't a fan of the demo.

That ending appeared to be a most irritating cliff hanger...

How long have you been a fan of Freeman's Mind?
Lord Sinister replied to Dr. Derpy Hooves Ph.D's topic in Freeman's Mind
I have a feeling I started by watching Civil Protection on a PC Gamer UK DVD, the first one called Friday. After that, I just kept watching and keeping an eye on some old site, a blog I think it was, but I don't think it was this site (my memory is shoddy). I think I saw Freeman's Mind start and from there I kept watching it from episode 1 onwards. Something like that at least. :3 -
I think the small text on signatures looks pretty decent.

I am always on the forum since I leave a tab up. I just don't actively post. As for KT, I'm sorry to hear that, I was only aware of this a couple of days ago. Well, welcome, Bill. I'm around every day! I just don't post as obsessively as I probably should...
