This topic is about Team Fortress 2, and I think your post is on-topic, and quite accurate in fact. Snipers are THERE to be backstabbed by spies. It is their only purpose.

Counterstrike: Global Offensive

I opened that link with Google Chrome myself. :\ It comes up with a box saying that it needs to launch an external application (Steam). So I hit 'Launch Application' and the appropriate window on Steam (which is already running) opens up. EDIT: You have to actually click the link. Copying and pasting (or manually typing) the Steam url in to Chrome's address bar won't work. It'll just do a Google search for it. -
The ModDB comments on that page are filled with people saying about how they are unable to download it because of the excessive demand for the mod. Personally though, I have never heard of it before.

Couldn't find a thread on this, so here it is. I think the game looks pretty interesting, however the beta for it has only really been available to professional CS players and so on. Until now. Apply here: http://steam://takesurvey/2/ For those who haven't heard of this game, it's not exactly a sequel to Counter-Strike: Source, it's more of a(nother) CS remake, or so I understand it. Here's the store page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/1800/

When you reported him, did you do it all via a Support ticket? I have a feeling that along with taking action against the account in question, they also return the stolen items. On a related note, this person is 'dumb', yet somehow had access to the results of a keylogger that ended up on your PC? Then again, it may be possible that your account was 'sold' to this person from someone else.

At the risk of being redundant, it should be noted that generalisations are dangerous and invariably inaccurate.

Some Minecraft!

Cheers! I feel old!

Hiccups were great. Shame about the Tau cannon, but at least EVERYONE CALMED DOWN.

I've never actually seen the film so I have no idea who the guy is. Hell he could have even been real for all I knew. I guess I need to watch Fight Club, I've heard it's pretty decent anyway.

There isn't one yet, but there can be one. Port forwarding isn't needed to host with Hamachi.

Just don't go there!!!! Please!

Gordon Freeman may not get his hands on a portal gun in the next installment of the Half-Life franchise, however this does not preclude the appearance of portal technology. -
If it's an ARG it's harmless, contains puzzles and may be interesting and entertaining. If it's intended to be some sort of serious movement it's far too theatrical and intended to sucker in the weak minded who instantly fall for these dramatic machinations. Anyway, to requote my original question:

I don't think this thread is doing any harm where it is, personally. The spam walls of text...I doubt even the OP has read them all, they're just copy-pasta'd from other sources anyway. Linking to the original sources and discussing them would be better assuming anyone has actually managed to read them all through. I myself think there are better endeavours worth focussing on...like learning to code!

I'm not sure what it is, you just seem to be trying to rephrase what I've already said.

Wifi and the internet are not one and the same.

Banned because you spoke to the prisoners.

It's VPN software that can be used for getting older games with multiplayer components to have those multiplayer parts function over the internet, although it's treated as a LAN. Only other machines that are part of the VPN can access the different machines on the VPN. It won't magically give a single-player game multiplayer.

I think you mean peer-to-peer. And do the letters in 'TYLER' stand for anything in particular?
-
What is this 'TYLER'?

Co-op game organisation using Synergy or Sven Coop with other people seems like a good subject. If we all use Hamachi, the person with the best connection can host. It is not hard to set up and I use it.
-
This seems more and more to me to be an ARG rather than any movement of real significance. I have nothing against ARGs however, but from what I can see this is in fact simply a game.
-
Good good, I'm glad we got that out of the way eventually.

It's an example. It isn't a precedent specific to your thread. I could have used my thread on Programming as the example instead. It's not about what the thread is, it's about what I suggested you do in future when you have something new to add. As you often tend to post stuff on Anonymous, it seemed an appropriate example.
