  1. Everyone here should calm down. No need for insults. It's a game, and not worth people going nuts about. Whether people are discussing speculation, or thoughts on that speculation, or thoughts on those thoughts...or actually discussing confirmed stuff and so on, there's still no good reason for people to get riled with each other. It's also worth stating the obvious here that everyone's going to have different opinions, and regardless of how another person's opinions may be 'WRONG' to you, the same could well be true of the reverse, and you'll most likely not be able to convince each other of your respective side of things. And it certainly won't happen through insults, flame, and hypocrisy (and by this I'm referring to those accusing others of being aggressive, etc whilst at the same time including provocative or aggressive comments in their own posts, only serving to fuel the fire). Now lets all try to get along. I'd hate to have to lock the thread and/or dish out bans... As for the game itself, it seems like an interesting game, to me. I've only played a bit of Fallout 3 in the past, and have entirely by coincidence started playing it again recently. For this game I've seen both the initial trailer and some gameplay, and it doesn't look too bad to me. Visually speaking the game certainly appears detailed, and I liked the talk of player freedom I saw mentioned in this video. Whether or not this is successfully pulled off remains to be seen, but I am hopeful.
  2. The server seems to be down.
  3. Someone keeps putting trees in the way of the top of my tower where I'm building; Can I remove the current dirt/tree/glowstone construction that's currently next to it? There's plenty of trees around the area for now and if we need an area for regular tree production I'm sure we can add one in a convenient area?
  4. Don't go linking it up just yet; I'm far from finished in my structuring of the building. Once I've got that down we can see about either connecting it to some sort of walkway or linking the walkway up to somewhere nearby.
  5. Mumble's better for the constant server where you can just pop in and chat, maybe have some different channels, etc. I prefer it to Skype personally. I'm guessing you placed the Ender Chest next to my stuff, BTG. Apparently it's some sort of networked chest with all other Ender Chests. Give it five minutes or so. It takes ages to load all the chunks (slow hard drive I'm guessing?). ONCE that's done, it'll play fine and is relatively lagless. If you try doing anything before that, any actions you take (movement, etc) will not take effect.
  6. Checked it out earlier this evening. Should be pretty interesting if we can get a bunch of people working towards something. Minecraft's changed a bit since I last played it (rabbits!?). Initial chunk loading is pretty slow, but once that's done it's fine and doesn't seem to lag. If we could get some sort of Accursed Farms voice server such as the Murmur one for Mumble, that'd probably aid in the teamwork. You have quite the mighty tree on that map!
  7. Yeah, this is the reason. The game came out 28 years after the first entry, 17 after Wolfenstein 3D, and is the first major release to be on consoles. Most people don't know too much about it. While the game itself is rather bland, The New Order is great. I think. I didn't play through it all the way, and it's been sitting on my shelf for like ten months. Should get around to that soon... Yeah, I liked The New Order. They are putting out an expansion pack for it next month. One of the things I quite liked about The New Order is that they managed to put in absolutely bizarre content, to a really rather serious tone and somehow made it work, AND with fun game-play. Whilst I've played the original Wolfenstein 3D as well, I've not played this version, nor Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which like far too many games, lurks unplayed in my Steam library...
  8. I will admit, I've not been as active as I'd like of late, but I do try to check in daily. But yes, tempting fate...no need to go and insult people for the sole purpose of attracting attention. People might start to think you're part of some sort of cult...
  9. Just watched the video for this when I got home. Listening to the commentary should prove interesting. I would imagine Ross Scott will do some sort of announcement regarding his involvement when it releases tomorrow.
  10. I did try DOTA 2 for a bit, but I couldn't get into it; I just preferred LoL.
  11. Does anyone else here play this game? I've seen it mentioned a couple of times I'm sure. I play it, and I'm pretty bad! However I did wonder if anyone here played it. I myself play on the EUW region.
  12. I can only imagine the tedious task of going through and responding individually to hundreds of emails.
  13. Merry Christmas, everyone.
  14. And Freeman at last begins his transformation from neurotic scientist into the stoic hero the world nee....oh. To be honest, I'm quite amazed he's able to still think in a vaguely coherent manner, considering his personality...
  15. Freeman's already tenuous mental state deteriorates further...
  16. I do wonder if this is just a random off-shoot like Episode 10.5 or if it's just one of his hallucinations...
  17. The argument or one of the mods? The intense detailed discussion of hypothetical weaponry and so on.
  18. Lets try to keep the conversation civil, everyone. Remember that video games aren't always going to be totally realistic, and even attempts to make such things more realistic are going to be inherently problematic when dealing with things that don't actually exist, even if they're based on something that does exist. Taking these things too far and too seriously may be all fun and games until all the actual facts are exhausted and people start delving into conjecture and getting into the the debates of opinions where everyone is right and everyone is wrong. And then come the personal insults and THEN it gets messy and there's forum warnings and so on. No one wants that, right? I will actually say that the amount of detail being gone into here does scare me somewhat.
  19. If Minecraft had been sold to Valve, would it not also have potentially become shackled to Steam? As long as it remains available stand-alone, and maybe even continues to receive content updates as it has done in the past, I would hope things will ultimately be okay.
  20. Now you too can manufacture images like the ones previously shown.
  21. Closed by request of the OP.
  22. Freeman risks compromising his already dubious levels of sanity. Testing things like a true scientist....on drugs.
  23. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to be active on the forum anymore, although you could always try sending him a PM. I'm afraid I've never played this game. This was the original forum topic you were referring to: http://www.accursedfarms.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1610 I've also moved this to a more appropriate forum section.
