  1. This has already been posted about in the Black Mesa thread in the General Gaming section, here: http://www.accursedfarms.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=650&start=340 Thus as there is already an existing thread on this, I'm going to close this thread. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Regards.
  2. The real question is whether or not you complied with his request. ;P
  3. This post may interest you: http://forums.blackmesasource.com/showpost.php?p=475471&postcount=1 In particular:
  4. Voted for it this morning! 14% so far!
  5. No I don't know where the bodies are.
  6. Awesome, I haven't seen that image for years!
  7. Don't worry, everything will be just fine.
  8. Why? Slow news day? I don't understand this. It doesn't even seem like a genuine article, it feels like they're just trying to get the knowledge of it out with as little work done in research as possible just to cash in on views. As if anyone who follows BBC News gives a shit about Half-Life 2, let alone a mod of it. They're 'BASICALLY' right in what they're saying, but it's so misleading. For one, the Black Mesa team aren't 'editing the story', they revamped the chapters to be completely different in most areas. I don't even know why this is so irritating to me, it just is. I read BBC News and care about Half-Life 2. In addition that post was made in the Technology section of the website, which does sometimes cover gaming-related news. It's not that unusual. Finally, as it's not a mere reskin but instead a 'reimagining' of the original Half-Life, it is entirely possible there may have been some minor plot alterations. Not anything significant if there are any I suspect, but we'll have to wait and see. I think there may be more information about this on the Black Mesa wiki.
  9. I'll just close this thread as there's not enough discussion to justify merging it. However as Kirkreng rightly points out, there is already an existing thread here: http://www.accursedfarms.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=650 It's in the General Gaming section because this game is not a Valve-produced game. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.
  10. Sounds like the right thing to do. From what I gather Black Mesa is an entirely different game, not just a reskin etc, merging the two might not be very straight forward. Besides, the look of the original HL has a nice retro-charm to it.
  11. Looks like it's coming, but in two stages (Xen and Black Mesa DeathMatch will be released at a later date): http://forums.blackmesasource.com/showpost.php?p=480683&postcount=1
  12. Commence celebrations and cake.
  13. Statements like this make me think of sinister agents in suits searching for you and listening to ear-pieces and whatnot.
  14. I come back from holiday, my PC hasn't been used at all, yet the PSU has SOMEHOW died (well my PC's bios informs me of a power error by beeping furiously before powering down for a few seconds, then trying again). Fortunately I had a replacement lying around...
  15. Now all we need is video footage followed swiftly by the release of the mod's soundtrack and the mod!
  16. Funded successfully! They might even reach some of their stretch goals!
  17. He sounds like a potentially dangerous individual, I would advise turning him in to the appropriate authorities, providing there is enough evidence to convict him.
  18. It's certainly better than my first attempts, or indeed anything I've created so far using the Source Filmmaker at any rate.
  19. Unfortunately no, however this may help: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1093025
  20. I thought it looked pretty good!
  21. And whether or not they'll know it was you that squealed.
  22. I've only ever played Super Monday Night Combat, and I found it pretty fun, as well as quite crazy.
  23. Well, at least funding does not look like it will be a problem. Whilst they still have around $350,000 to go, the money they've had pledged to them so far has been going up incredibly fast. If it maintains this rate of increase, I wonder just how much money they'll ultimately have pledged to them by the time the deadline is reached.
  24. I feel this deserves a thread, it's from the company behind Super Monday Night Combat (a decent game), but it seems they have developers from the original Total Annihilation, as well as Supreme Commander and numerous other games on the team. Anyway, the gameplay visualisation video looks awesome. If they can make it look and play like that it should be fantastic. Here's the Kickstarter page: They're already well on their way towards getting the $900,000 they want to make it. In fact, they've got $508,098 at the time of writing this post, and in only five days, roughly.
  25. Slaying even MORE spam bots!
