I feel the exact opposite. A DVD might not be stolen but it can easily break. I think it's more likely you'll break a disk than the Steam servers all failing and your hard drive crashing. And you can re-download your game when the servers come back online

Yes, you can. And if it's uploaded, eventually you will. I'm not really that impatient. That's the reason for all the ones It's like waiting in line, sometimes you just hate the people in front of you even though they were there first. No denying that. They almost did for a while. Before Ross changed his contract with machinima they pressured him pretty hard, and the quality dropped for a while.

I understand machinima's reason for delaying the videos but still, when I see (and I realize that these types of videos aren't as common as people say they are) I can't held but get mad. It's a custom animation that probably took him a long time. I highly doubt he would custom do the whole game just for Ross, not to mention with how long must take to animate would make production nightmarishly slower But next time please just post your question in the original thread
