Post count is relatively meaningless, it doesn't matter if you have more posts than Alyxx, more rep than Ross or even if you become a mod. My friend helped me my first time but I could easily do it on my own now. Parts are highly standardized, there a few different types of some parts that have to be compatible like your CPU your motherboard, but most of the time the parts are standard.
