Well this thread's going to hell in more ways than one. Theories are ways to explain phenomena not facts. How do you know for sure that continental drift is a fact? Obviously plate tectonics is the most viable theory by an astronomical margin considering current evidence. But it is not a fact until someone drills to the center of the earth and observes it happen. Not everything has been discovered

It's the same with Martial arts. 0_O Well I like to think that the situation is a little different in the US and Canada and even in Afghanistan and Iraq it seems like overkill to me... but I've never been so I don't really know. The only place I'm sure of that you need an SMG for self defense is Black Mesa Treating him like that is probably what sent him into crime in the first place. I doubt he's had the kind the care that he needs. He should obviously still be punished, but as the minor that he is. The intruders weren't really after their lives but even if they were, the rifle being automatic only made things end worse. Most 17 year olds (or any age for that matter) burglers will run at the sight/sound of a gun, but instead of simply being scared a kid ended up being hit. I suppose it depends what country you live in but as a Canadian I feel that it's important to limit the type of weapons people can have. I don't think anyone needs a fully automatic weapon for "self defense". I don't see guns having any other use than destructive.

Whoa this thread is tl;dr I agree with The_Doctor on the idea of teaching evolution as a theory and not as a fact, but I disagree with him on almost every online resource calling evidence for evolution proof. For me it has been the unfortunate opposite with almost every reference or text book being heavily polarized to either criticism or more often simply stating evolution as fact. People have the right to freedom of opinion, and the government should protect that by making sure that people aren't influenced by the (potentially) wrong people when they are most vulnerable, no matter how difficult it may be to suppress your own opinion. Even as an evolutionist myself I disagree. Most evolutionists forget to ask "why" in any other sense but the literal Interesting view, I agree I can't agree simply because there isn't really a general religious consensus in the way that there's a general scientific consensus. There are just to many religions with conflicting viewpoints to teach, and secularism in public school teaching is important to avoid a clash between a kids personal life and school life.

I think making CP contiguous would limit the number of truly funny episodes. I don't want CP to end up like Red vs Blue. I still think the RvB can be funny but the first episodes were more devoted to actual comedy and weren't clogged with pure storyline.
