[rant] A few things bother me extensively: 1. Completely oblivious people. For example, people driving huge SUV's while testing and forget that you are there and destroy your bumper on the freeway without stopping. Some people have their heads up their rears. 2. People who feel the need to force religion down my and other peoples throats. When people say that things in my life would be better, or that parts of my government are best decided by Gods way. I know that there is a god, but He wouldn't want people running around smacking everyone in the face with His religion. I find being neutral about religion makes it easier to make rational decisions, rather than "ethical" ones because god would like it that way. 3.Completely ignorant people. On YouTube especially. I know that a few troll or are 5 years old. But people who have no idea what the heck they are talking about start arguments. This is especially the case at my school, in our debate class. People who argue against something they know nothing about ruined it. 4. People who interrupt you mid-sentence. I don't know why, maybe a bad habit, but they feel that their comment or idea is the most important thing in the world. 5. People who complain about being fat or make fun of other fat people and do nothing about it. I will be perfectly honest: I am 201 lbs. I'm not scrawny or ripped. But I lost 45 Lbs by not eating absolute crap and running for just half and hour per day. If it bothers you so much, why can't you do it? 6. People who can't manage money. I've gone through all the business classes at my high school and I've realized that the most important thing about business and life in general is: Don't buy stuff you don't need on credit. It's not free money. When you go bankrupt and you have $20,000 in credit card debt and you whine about how unfair it is. It drives me insane. Not about people: Maxing out my heart rate causing a mini-seizure which removes my driving rights for 6 months. Epilepsy in general, going unconscious, having muscle spasms, and shredding my ankle on a treadmill at 9 MPH isn't cool. Thanks so much brain. And Finally, The greatest transgression: 7. People who bandwagon. Be it environmentalists or just kids on facebook, people who bandwagon without even thinking or researching their decisions make me mad. Stuff like Kony or the "Dihydrogen Monoxide" experiments show it plain as day. Large portions of people only work for causes because its hip and then drop it when it doesn't. DISCLAIMER: If I offended any of you, I wholeheartedly apologize. They are just my opinions. I am not telling any of you what is right or what is wrong, just what bothers me. I tried to remain neutral by not mentioning specific groups or individuals. Also, It's been a 18 hr day for me so my spelling and grammar probably isn't the best. [/rant]
  2. "My favorite snack is the Big.. Pink... Frosted...Cookie" -Gabe Newel
  3. ^Yes, yes it is. Also I happen to have developed a drinking problem.
  4. Hah. Are they any good? If I recall they weren't valve originals. Made by Gearbox(?) something or other.
  5. Yeah, so apparently there's this huge sale going on. 2 Days in, and I've spent $20 on Terraria,Audiosurf, and The entire Half-Life 2 series Ep(1,2). How damaged are your wallets?
  6. Excellent. I think this one is pretty obvious. "Good Luck We're All counting on you" Hint: Its from a movie
  7. My god, that was 4 years ago. Where does the time go?
  8. 8/10 2 for pinkuple daemon chick, 4 for good art, 2 for clear background
  9. I think that's Cicero talking about the night mother. Maybe. I played it yesterday, but that sounds cicero-y.
  10. Who is Greg? Or Gray?
  11. Maybe Ross has the unfinished videos without intro and outro effects? For the afterthought comments, I guess you could hold a still of the very last frame? I guess that would be kinda cheesy though. This sounded a lot better on paper. Also, I am not gonna use Windows Movie Maker. Too many bad youtube movies.
  12. Has anyone thought of editing together all the various episodes of Freeman's mind into a continuous video? Yeah, sure its 4-6 hours of video, but it would be neat to just tune out and watch a whole bunch in a row, uninterrupted. Or at least break them up into feature-film size episodes. I'm not very experienced with video editing, but if someone could suggest a free-ish editor I'll take a whack at it.
  13. 1,162 miles. By bicycle. 107 hours. Oh boy. Yeah, I don't think I'll make it this time. Maybe a south-central one sometime? I'll take a T-shirt though.
  14. ^Agreed in a completely non-perverted way
  15. A. I'm not sure if you could call the Combine 'Homophobic". They hate everyone, not just gays. B. The Lambda is not a copyright of anyone, not even the GAA C. Following your example, one could say that the GAA has a phobia of Lagrange Multipliers. I support Lagrange Multipliers. And open sexuality, but its just to prove a point.
  16. If that's the case, he must have been shocked by the invasion so bad that he developed a whole bunch of weird mannerisms and really, really let him self go.
  17. Thank you!
  18. 8/10 I haven't seen MLP so 8/10 for cute.
  19. Chooses because he needs not waste time talking to people. Shoot first, talk never.
  20. If someone plays Valve games often on their PC and they need better framerate they could spend the $200+ on a fantastic GPU, or CPU for overall speed. They should just stick to making games every 5 or 6 years and not let any of them have the number "3" in them.
  21. Not to resurrect this to post, but the extended one would be awesome.
  22. Uplink came out in 2001 and Hacker Evolution came out in 2010. It may just be coincidence. Working on getting some pictures uploaded. May be a week or so.
  23. I forgot about hacker evolution. Its very close to the same game but lacks that certain atmosphere. It does seem that hacker evolution is almost a direct copy of uplink, but with small changes to prevent legal action.
  24. Introversion: My personal favorite game company. They have made some of the best non-hyped games I have ever played. Rather than making a thread for each, I will just dedicate a post or two for each game. Spoilerizing for your protection: They released the source code to the general public so people on their forums are still talking and making their own versions of the game, keeping it alive and fresh.
