  1. It sounds like you need a best friend. I'm not saying you don't have friends, but it just sounds like you need one person to just talk to. If you have this reputation, then refrain from talking like that in groups.
  2. I don't want to debate, but why can't it be a coincidence?
  3. How do we get oil from invading countries? Who said all Muslims are terrorists?
  4. The whole point of having the forum was so that people who spoke the language could verify that the subtitles were accurate. The problem with this method is that the community hasn't been too active in this process. I'll talk to Ross about the subtitle situation, and I'll see if we can get a more effective plan going on.
  5. I am actually on vacation in South Carolina right now, but I will be heading home a few days before this event. I wish I could, though.
  6. Played through Baldur's Gate with a friend some years ago, but we never got Baldur's Gate 2. Is it worth it? We played console.
  7. Reminds me of the episode of Hey Arnold! where they make a giant pizza.
  8. On vacation. Enjoying burnt shoulders.
  9. I don't think it's ethically correct.
  10. Skyrim's music worked very well. Ambient when it needed to be, powerful when it needed to be. I was not disappointed by the game or its soundtrack.
  11. Timmy Smith
  12. Had kind of a good background music style, but it doesn't work well by itself. Also, what program do people on SoundCloud generally use?
  13. I bought Empire and Napoleon from the Total War series. I need something to tie me over until Rome 2.
  14. People just started drawing, and I honestly felt overwhelmed.
  15. Trying to catch up.
  16. I think this is the best point in the thread. I'm going to lock this thread because it definitely became more heated than it should have.
  17. Because sitting in a trench for days before charging at enemy gunfire and dying doesn't lend itself well to games. Everyone joked that a video game set in an era with muskets would be boring as hell, and yet the Mount and Blade expansion Napoleonic Wars has a great community of dedicated players.
  18. I haven't seen rain for a month.
  19. Many thanks! I will take a look when I get home.
  20. "Der Mann" is a noun meaning "the man", but "man" is a pronoun that's used to express an indefinite, unspecified group of people. They etymologically come from the same word, though. Correct conjugation; you just need to drop one "n". EDIT: I would like to mention that the most similar thing about "ein reicher Mann" and "ríkur maður" is that the German word for rich is "reich" and that the Icelandic word is "rík". The endings they take are only spelled differently because of vowel shifts over hundreds of years.
  21. Discord and Lord Sinister, message me with whatever would be the best form of communication and when you want to practice. Bjössi brings up a good point with Icelandic and German. For example, Mann is German for man, and maður is Icelandic for man, both of which are grammatically masculine nouns. A rich man would be "ein reicher Mann" and "ríkur maður" respectively.
  22. Anyone who needs help in German, I would love to help. I will be majoring in German starting this fall.
  23. I should invite a friend from my German class to see that!
  24. Ross probably has a definite number in his e-mail.
  25. Did I miss something? ACTA in Poland. Over the Australian Aborigines, of course.
