No, they're just crawl bots. Not the spambots. Google has crawlbots as does every other search engine. Though it's possible they're faking it, pretending to be bots for that Chinese search engine. Hell, it takes about 30 seconds to change your user agent to look like that even on a normal web browser. Though that's kind of unlikely. I'm thinking they may have had something to do with our CPU usage problems before (remember when the forum kept going down every few minutes? that.). If not, they're probably using up a fair amount of bandwidth. That's why I blocked them on my site, they kept downloading the server files I had hosted 50+ times with every update. I almost hit my bandwidth limit because of it. Though I don't think AF has a bandwidth limit so that's not a problem here. Best choice for now is to ignore it. It might make sense to hide bots from the online users list though?

A lot of them are probably crawler bots (e.g. Google, Yahoo, WayBack Machine, etc). In fact, I'll have a look. Right now: In total there are 32 users online :: 4 registered, 0 hidden and 28 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes) Most users ever online was 104 on Tue Jun 14, 2011 8:25 am Bots: One google bot, 21 Baiduspider bots, and 2 bing bots. 24/28 are bots. 21 of which from the same site... A Chinese site... Kind of depressing. EDIT: In fact, this might be a problem. I remember it being worse back in June (as you can probably tell by the 104 users online). They attacked my forum (closed now if you're wondering) at around the same time (100+ as well).
