TFW I pretty much didn't go out of my house anyway, even before this whole pandemic started. Being a perpetual recluse comes in handy.

Colorado just issued a state of emergency yesterday, and a stay at home order. It was kinda creepy, the gov. sent an active alert to my smartphone. Sorta like an amber/silver kind of alert, with the loud mayday sound, it was a bit harrowing and notable first in my lifetime.

These are strange and "interesting" times indeed...

Yup. Everything is officially shut down here. I actually got last night's alert while waiting for Pizza to arrive.

As a point of interest medicine-wise, there's a neat analysis here: https://www.cebm.net/covid-19/registered-trials-and-analysis/ that shows a list of registered clinical trials associated with the SAR-CoV-2 virus (Up to March 8th). There were 382 at time of the article being published, but they're still running, so if you're bored, stuck inside, and wanting to know more about the treatment of COVID-19, it's an interesting read.

When I say interesting read, that's both the meta-analysis on the page, as well as digging in to the studies themselves. For instance, there's a trial which just got through ethics, that trials anti-retros alongside antihistamines that was of particular interest to me. For me, it was because I get a little hayfever, and I was concerned about immunosuppressant medication to treat respiratory symptoms, in the context of a viral infection that causes lung inflammation, and potentially fatal pneumonia. In any case, it's an interesting read for any scientifically-minded humans that deal with anxiety by learning about the thing that's causing them distress!

Can't help but wonder, when Ross will poist his official "freakout" video regarding the world events. :S

Non-linear derivative in new case-totals and the inevitable overflow of any and all local medical services will eventually convince everyone that this thing will in time wipe out more people than the whole World War 2, holocaust included.

Unfortunate reality, which will become apparent to all observers, once the peak hits their local services.

That's not hard to do... We get that many from heart disease every few years in the USA...
