Spec Ops: The Line
is one of the few military shooters to cover PTSD and the Horrors of War successfully and with maturity. Being primarily based on Joseph Conrad's novel "Heart of Darkness" and the film "Apocalypse Now", the story is a gripping, mature, and intense experience that if not enjoyed, at least needs to be played by everyone who normally enjoys shooters and the power fantasy of such.
In regards to the soundtrack, it uses a number of licensed tracks, that play during some of the more intense combat sequences and during downtime, which include:
Deep Purple - Hush (
).
All in all, a pretty interesting and intense soundtrack that really sticks with you after playing it.
