Serious/Mature Let's Players?

Hello everyone, this might be a weird question but I have to ask.

I love watching let's play videos like many people here and from time to time I like to take few hours out of my weekend to watch some let's plays...now the problem is that I basically ran out of good let's plays to watch. This would be easy for most people, since there are soo many let's players out there that it's getting a bit ridiculous, but not for me.

I kind of have a strict criteria for let's players.I just can not stand let's players who keep screaming, overreacting, faking enthusiasm...here are some examples of let's players I can not stand: theRadBrad,Pewdiepie,Markiplier,Toby Games,Rooster Teeth,Tetra Ninja...

Now people that I like are usually not that well known except for few.I love LPers that are very calm, serious, mature, have deep voice and don't have their damned face drawn like a cartoon character as their profile picture (JK).

Some examples of LPers that I have already watched and really really loved:Coect(serious, older guy, known for his hitman LPs),Battlefield315(very serious, mature guy,he only did one LP but it was a long one and one of my favorites),Gopher(serious, mature, does RPG games),StarduskLP(also RPG games)

Now if anyone can suggest me some good Let's Players that meet the criteria above I would be very very thankful. I HAVEN'T WATCHED A GOOD LP IN MONTHS!

Recently I've stumbled upon

, and while he doesn't meet the criteria for a deep voice or a non-cartoonish avatar, he is fairly mature and calm, and screams only in some moments. Also he doesn't read the text outloudSo I suggest him as at least a consideration

It's been a while since I've watched his videos, but maybe kurtjmac is who you're looking for. I remember him as more mature compared to lots of other Let's Play-ers.

He's also the guy who became famous for his ongoing mission to walk to the Far Lands in Minecraft. On foot. Which will take him years. And he's supporting a charity while doing it.

I can recommend Matthewmatosis. He mainly does reviews, but also has 3 "Commentaries", as he calls them - let's plays that do in depth analysis of game and design features as they play out. He mainly comes up with those ones now, but they still aren't frequent due to the format he chose - he does those LPs in one huge chunk rather than breaking them up into episodes.

Also, he has an Irish accent, and talks quite fast when compared to other YouTubers - so if you watch your videos on x2 speed, you might want to tone it down with him.

I suggest PrinceofMacedon (focuses on Total war games, although he now makes other types of vids primarly). Now, he isnt dead serious, but still. He is also history nerd (bonus points from my end- he likes to talk a lot about history during LP-s when time is right) and actively communicates with fans. You will also like that he doesnt have his face on except for time when he made videos when his PC had troubles i think. you can find his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/PrinceofMacedon/videos

I'd also suggest my own let's plays as well if there werent 2 things- 1) havent made decent one in years (i.e one where i put effort in) and 2) majority of those let's plays were made over 4-5 years ago, when i was in high school. And i was pretty bad at the time.

Still, i am thinking of restarting my let's plays, so if you really feel bored enough, feel free to check out anyways & give feedback (i can quarantee- no reaction faking): https://www.youtube.com/user/armeelane/videos

I watched your old LP's and some are actually interesting, specially your battlefield 1942 live commentary since I really love that game and use to play it a lot.

I've taken to watching a bunch of smaller LPers that I find fairly entertaining, a couple I found from watching Markiplier early on.

I watch ReformistTM for Mount and Blade and its various Mod related stuff but he also plays a lot of Star Wars The Old Republic playthroughs, Sleepcycles I've gotten into watching who seems to play a wide variety of games on his channel but he got really big for playing Nuclear Throne, Baertaffy is another, Weaselzone is another I found very recently through his The Long Dark LPs. I also watch some of RPGMinx(aka MangaMinx), and although she probably falls a little too much into the overreaction and silly category at times for your taste, she doesn't use a face cam and is one of the few Lesbian LPers I know.

Most of these people I recommend don't play with face cams, or if they do have them, don't use them all the time. Sleepycycles uses his mostly for streams on Twitch, Baertaffy has only used his on a few rare occasions, and Reformist AFAIK doesn't have one at all. Weasel is the exception in that he uses his face cam all the time.

Another guy I watch is FRANKIEonPCin1080p, though the content he makes isn't strictly Let's Plays, I think they're top quality shot and fairly entertaining videos with minimal silliness. Most of his stuff is DayZ and Arma, but also a bunch of other shooters as well.

sckchui is one of my favourite lets players, he has a PhD in architecture which brings some really interesting commentary to his videos, and his videos aren't edited at all which gives them a kind of personal touch. In one of them he actually googles a walkthrough as he was playing the game lmao

I don't know what exactly you mean by serious or mature but WATCHING people play video games is usually less fun than playing them yourself

the whole purpose of watching a let's play for entertainment is the people playing it, and if they're a boring humorless husk then you're just watching a walkthrough

I don't know what kind of humor you appreciate but I'd recommend game grumps or vinesauce if it's nothing too highbrow

John Wolfe is good. He recently changed name from HarshlyCritical. He plays horror games mostly but happens to play some other stuff as well. I allways liked him more since he actually plays, no stupid jokes, no overreacting but keeps it light and dynamic. Id reccomand to check him.
