Quick update

Hey people, here's what's going on: The new CP episode is completely done except for adding some sound effects and volume balancing; however this can be pretty involved. For this episode I've unloaded almost all the sound effects work to someone else (Otto Beumelburg) and a few of the sound effects he's provided are better than what I could have come up with myself. So it's a time savings for me personally and I think our combined work is improving the audio quality of the episode. Between this and the delay in uploading new episodes, it may be a couple more days before the episode is done, but I think it will be out sometime this week. At this point I've done all I can do on my end, so once I get caught up on sleep and maybe reply to the 30 or so emails I've gotten lately, I'll go ahead and start on the next Freeman's Mind episode and keep them coming. I realize it's been a while since the last FM episode, but I promise to make up for it soon.

Also I could use one or two more English subtitle transcribers for Civil Protection especially. (international people: just hold tight, I still need to reply to a bunch of emails) I've gotten some offers already, but several people have either not replied back or may have become too busy to continue working on the rest of the episodes. If you're interested in helping out with this and have a proper understanding of spelling and grammar, go ahead and contact me.

I've gotten many emails of people offering to transcribe, thanks. I'm trying to respond to all of you and we should have all the remaining English subtitles up before too much longer.

Also, thanks for putting the "Will you switch over to Black Mesa for Freeman's Mind once it comes out?" question in your FAQ section, because without that I would never have known about Black Mesa!

 
Been a while. I hope you start producing more videos, ive waited sooo long! Plus you already promised to put FM more frequently...that hasnt turned out so well. Heres hoping you get caught up and start producing more great videos!

 
I am glad to hear all of that but...

If you care, I gotta say to ya that WHITE-ON-BLACK is reeeeeeeeally tiring eyes... I understand that this look is fitting nice to everything but is not practical.

Death threats and marrige proposals made me LOL.

Also I dont know what takes so long to make a simple movie... I am not a specialist, not even know anything about it... but seriously! few months breaks from each episodes?!

 
It'd be awesome if you could stop in a bit more often to just drop off short updates like this. Hearing about stuff going on or just generally seeing new content to the site even in random update form is still appreciated.

 
um0123: Actually it did, if you look at the times of release for the first 3 or 4 episodes v. the ones after that, there was a significant increase. The next one will be even more dramatic.

Mike234: I like the white on black, but the outlined yellow doesn't help with the comments, I hope to get that changed. As for the episodes, they're not breaks at all man, I've been busy as hell. And yes, they take that long. Each episode of CP is like a minature mod involving hundreds and hundreds of steps.

And Ross, have you ever thought of maybe installing a small forum on your new site, like a simple phpBB forum or something? I think that would be pretty nifty to have, and I don't think it would be too much of a hassle to install.

Just a suggestion. If not then that's cool too

Great news! Even though I'm a fan of FM, I don't mind the hiatus. They've seem to come pretty quickly in the past, and its nothing in contrast to waiting for CP episodes! XD ... (only teasing)

 
Good too see Ross's getting back on the ball. Great job, and I can't wait to see the new episodes!

 
Dude, PLEASE!

Change your website to a dark font on a light background.

I know it looks cooler when its light text on dark but it's destroying my eyes, and nothing looks cool when you can't see.
